Been working on a cyberpunk hack for Fall of Magic by @deernicorn.bsky.social, so towards that end I'm consuming a bunch of cyberpunk stories (books/movies/podcasts). After making the connection between it and the Sprawl Trilogy years ago I thought it'd be a good fit.

Maybe 2 weeks ago I was given a media recommendation for something called Afflicted. I immediately forgot the name and just trusted it would come to me. Today I remembered the name, but now I don't know what kind of media it was.

Was watching the SCA Chickens video again and got to wondering whether Norsemen/Vikings ever found their chickens laying eggs under their shields. 🎶Oh hasten chickens down to the shield wall, time to lay eggs in their safety and shade🎶

@moviesandheists.bsky.social wondering if you could recommend some movies that are about a group trying to check off their "bucket list" before high school graduation. I remember "I Love You Beth Cooper" being in that vein, and would swear I'd seen others ("Dazed and Confused" maybe?)

The sky above the Faire was the color of a television tuned to a dead channel... That is to say a deep blue field unmarred by anything like "clouds" or "planes".

Having rediscovered that I have a copy of cbr+pnk that I've never played, I'm looking for some gamers in the Phoenix metroplex who are up to a one/two shot.

Just got the text that my federal refund has been approved. Given the timing this means I have a 60% chance of it landing by week's end and being able to go to the Ren Faire this Saturday. Yay!

I frequently describe my photography as less Art and more Exorcism, and folk generally get the implication of that wording. For those who don't, the below has been haunting me for 20 years and I finally have the tools to exorcise it from my brain.

A project that has reentered the queue: "This summer the gods have fallen and they can't get up". Think Grumpy Old Men, but with the main characters being Zeus and Dionysus (or some other pairing).
