20 past 8, first quarter of an hour at Rugby Park’ll be done, I wonder how Barry Ferguson’s mighty Glasgow Rangers are doing at Rugby Park. *checks score*

Cannot wait to see how this lot get on against Brendan Rodgers at Celtic Park and Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce. Away from home to St Johnstone might be a stretch for them. No doubt there’ll be a staunch bounce for a game or two, but they’re bound to provide us with some top notch hilarity shortly.

Just out of work and I cannot believe Rangers have actually appointed Barry Ferguson, Neil McCann, Billy Dodds and Allan McGregor as their coaching team until the end of the season. That is hilariously staunch. Not a top-flight manager among them, but lots of anger issues and wee man syndrome.

Sad to see Rangers finally sacking Clement, but all good and hilarious things must come to an end eventually I suppose. Speaking of, I’d absolutely fucking love it if they gave it to Alex Rae til the end of the season or went and got Stevie G back.

Over to the board now. You’ve seen what Rodgers can do with shambolic last minute transfer windows, act like a big club do the business properly and we’re going one step further next year. Sensational Celtic. Proud to a man, warriors everywhere and just a tiny bit bad luck to sucker punch us.

I'll hold my hands up, I never wanted Rodgers back, I still can't stand him but what a job he's doing. I criticised him after Dortmund for not learning from last time, he's rammed those words down my throat since. Only lost 3 games from 10 in Europe, real progress being made, hope we keep it up.

Of all the Celtic In Europe moments we’ve had over the decades, tonight wasn’t very Celtic In Europe. Until it was. Out in the last minute after some genuinely excellent stuff from us. Gutted for the manager and players, they’ve put a fair bit of respect on Celtic’s name tonight.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!! CELTIC LEAD IN MUNICH AND IT’S ALL SQUARE ON AGGREGRATE! 🍀

Somehow at half time I’m disappointed not to be ahead. Lucky with Kane’s shot off the bar at the end of the half, but really hope we don’t rue those missed chances. Kühn’s was a sitter, and McGregor needs to hit the target. Some great stuff from us though. Need a goal!

Oh my god 😍😍😍 It’s giving massive Turkey 2020/Honda tribute vibes. That is absolutely stunning!

Our first 2025 F1 car is out for a shakedown! Nearly time! Cannot wait!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MAEDA!!!!!!!!!!!! 🍀

Honestly, what could’ve been with a starting front 3 of Kühn, Jota and Maeda. Maeda through the middle tonight was the brave call. That’s not a dig at Idah, I thought the big man did well with the scraps he had, but the last 10 minutes proves Maeda through the centre would’ve been the right call.

It will forever be absolutely hilarious to me that Greg Taylor considers himself too good to have signed a new Celtic contract. If the club was being run anything like it should be, he’d have been offski years ago. Excellent 18 months under Ange in a different role but ordinary at best otherwise.

Really disciplined first half from Celtic, undone by the inability of a Celtic left-back who’s never been good enough in Europe to face up his man and stop his man from getting onto his preferred foot despite being goalside and in control. Amazing finish from Olise after he got by Taylor though.

Come on the Celtic 🍀 Just hope we turn up and do ourselves justice. What will be, will be.

If anybody can point us to any examples of these western, liberal, democratic countries, I’d love to hear about them. They sound great.

It doesn’t bode well for the summer that the club had months of notice of Kyogo’s departure and came up with this shortlist, then got nowhere near signing any of them. What changes in the summer? Still the same “system” ID’ing targets, so do we suddenly expect them to find a suitable/gettable one?

Jota coming back and KT on a pre-contract are brilliant bits of business by the club this window, and Schlupp on loan makes sense even if it’s not the most imaginative signing. Kyogo being flogged and running with one hit-and-miss striker is an absolute joke. Total negligence.

Jeffrey Schlupp and Danny Ings. Seriously? 😂 Celtic’s complete inability to string a sensible transfer window together is unmatched.

Similar to the goalkeeper issue in the summer, it sounds like the club have very quickly run out of ideas, so the manager’s had to open his contact book in the hope of convincing an ex-player to come, but even that’s not going to work this time by the looks of it. Shambolic again, as usual.

Just catching up with yesterday’s various developments, and as usually, it’s painfully obvious that Celtic have sold their best striker since Larsson with absolutely no serious forward-planning whatsoever despite Kyogo indicating his wish to leave a few months ago.

Nice to wander along to this gem while over in Melbourne for the weekend. #CelticFC

What a mental season in Scotland. Hibs, who were bottom of the league and looked to be bound for relegation if they didn’t sack their manager, will be just 2 points behind Aberdeen (who were joint top of the league a couple of months ago) by 5 o’clock tonight under the same Hibs manager!

Long, long overdue. Funny though that Herbert’s chosen to stick with the shady money from random gambling/crypto companies over being involved with the FIA. Remember that when he’s in the press bemoaning the witch hunt. He’s the one who’s chose to keep the dodgy cash rolling in.

All in, can’t really complain about tonight. Horrible start, but dragged ourselves back into it and even though we conceded a couple of daft goals to lose it, we made it a nervy night til the death for a decent Premier League side, and we’re through! Bring on Bayern or Real!

What a first half! An absolute nightmare of a start and 2-0 down inside 4 minutes. Could’ve easily been 3 or 4-0 down, but then Celtic haul themselves right back into it with 2 brilliant goals in the side of a couple of minutes.

YES!!!!!! Back in the game from absolutely nowhere and it’s big Adam Idah with two EXCELLENT finishes! Come on the Celtic!!! 🍀

Yes! Adam Idah finally scores again for Celtic and we’re back in it! I’m not a fan of the big man, but that was an excellent finish!

Yes! 2-1! Adam Idah finally scored again for Celtic! Much, much better!

2-0 down after 4 minutes, and I can’t even say it’s a surprise. Exactly the type of start I feared with that starting lineup.

If Celtic walk out of Villa Park tonight on the end of a 3-0 win or less, then I’ll be pleasantly surprised. Idah, Yang, Scales and Taylor up against an English Premier League side just isn’t going to be doable. One or two of them, maybe, but all four is a horror show waiting to happen.

When we eventually announce Kieran Tierney has signed for Celtic, I hope we use the exact same template and strapline we used for the Jota signing, but with this photo of KT.

The LiveScore app has just dropped an absolute all-timer of a notification. Working late on a presentation for a webinar at work next week, and my night’s been massively lifted! Bring him the fuck home! 🍀🍀🍀

😭😭😭 Amidst all the Jota joy, this one’s still a sickener. Celtic are a club worse-off without Kyogo on the books. Hope we sign a great replacement, but they’ll have gigantic shoes to fill. Bigger than Eddy’s, bigger than Moussa’s, bigger than Hooper’s.

This will never not look bloody weird. Cannae wait though!

Celtic could very conceivably have a left-hand side of Kieran Tierney and Jota and I honestly think that might be dangerously good. Like Tierney/Scott Sinclair levels of good. Maybe even better!

The shout from Celtic Reddit is that Jota only left in the first place so he didn’t have to wear last season’s all-timer of a horror home kit, and I fully agree. Back for the first year of the beautiful elite template. The man is just coolness personified. And he’s hame!

FUCKIN. YAS.
