Now that Nintendo is embracing the "classic mario" aesthetic, more YouTubers need to become familiar with the names Yoichi Kotabe and Shigehisa Nakaue. Kotabe solidified the 2D Mario look in the late 80s and early 90s, and Nakaue has been carrying that torch in newer games.

I'm excited for Switch 2 but some people really have to chill. Nintendo will have an intricate timeline worked out for marketing it and they're not going to upend that very complex global strategy over some leaked pictures of hardware. They will reveal it in their own time as they always do.
