A bunch of sad, angry right-wing trolls organised an anti-immigrant demo in town โ€“ it wasn't hard to outnumber their pathetic turnout. I ran to buy a Saltire because so many of them were claiming our flag as their symbol. Our flag belongs to all of us, not a minority with hate in their hearts ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ

My boyfriend mentioned that he was studying tourism, and my little cousin said, "What, is that like the 11-9 thing?" We both looked at each other, confused. Then the penny dropped and I said, "No, he's studying tourism, not terrorism." ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Just got ID'd trying to buy some sparkling rosรฉ for my auntie's birthday ๐Ÿซ  I'm 29, so I should be flattered โ€“ but I didn't have my ID with me, and I'm literally on my way to the restaurant for her birthday meal, so the timing isn't great ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Okay needing a password, a number code AND a fucking thumb scan on my phone is a bit much If some loser wants to access my silly work emails and spreadsheets just let them omg why are we doing all this

The new Google AI functionality in Docs is total mind-ruining shit. Hit enter in docs, it takes over your cursor to offer to help you write. Every. Time. You. Hit. Enter. Do you know how annoying that is when you are writing something? It's someone interrupting you every minute. MAKE IT STOP.

What a difference an hour* makes (*and a haircut, and a shave, and, apparently, a glasses swap)

I am once again asking if you're allergic to a bit of noise (and joy), then why the fuck are you living in the middle of LONDON?? Piss off to Zone 6... or the Scilly Isles

Now that's a lamp ๐Ÿ˜

Postie came back up the path about 15 minutes after already delivering something, and I happened to be in the garden. "Forget something?" I said with a laugh. She stopped, scowled and snarled, "Obviously." Our usual, friendly postie needs to hurry back from his holiday ๐Ÿฅฒ

Another triumph for the genius that is Morgan McSweeney!

Some posh twat at York just pushed past me to make sure he got on the train first Only to stop and stand in the vestibule looking for his seat reservation like a gormless fucking lemon

๐Ÿš Being a big transport nerd, I count myself pretty lucky that my job allows me to do what I love whilst taking me to parts of the country I (probably) wouldn't otherwise visit Another network assessment done and dusted! ๐Ÿ™‚โ€โ†•๏ธ

Fixed-route shuttles, you say? If only we could subsidize something like that to make commutes more affordable, fast, and environmentally-friendly!

tfw your leader does a rivers of blood speech and you get banned from pride in the same week

Labour is bad vibes, lads and ladies

No time โ€“ and no sympathy โ€“ for any political party thinking it's the victim when its Leadership has tried to play the field on LGBT rights. The failures of Labour and the Tories are obvious. But when Ed Davey "welcomed" the "clarity" of the Supreme Court ruling, he muddied your position too.

The Prime Minister imitating Enoch Powellโ€™s โ€˜Rivers of Bloodโ€™ speech is sickening. That speech fuelled decades of racism and division. Echoing it today is a disgrace. It adds to anti-migrant rhetoric that puts lives at risk. Shame on you, Keir Starmer.

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Photographing flags in an exercise in patience more than precision

Squint and you'll see Blackpool Tower, as seen from the West Pennine Moors โ€“ 30 miles away!

Keir Starmer just made himself a one-term Prime Minister. Farage is gonna play that line on loop from here to kingdom come, and Starmer is gonna regret ever saying it. Stupid cunt.

๐Ÿš๐Ÿค“ I don't think I've ever listened to a podcast before โ€“ but this conversation between @humantransit.bsky.social and @volts.wtf was ideal for a train journey. The topic may have been US transit, but the balance of frequency vs coverage can be universally applied. www.volts.wtf/p/how-is-tra...

Privacy was already diminished. Now it's dead.

When will this fucking flump learn? If Reform policies are all that's on the menu, people will just vote for Reform. Serving up slop that rips off Farage's recipe isn't going to do Labour any favours. I was a Labour Party member for more than ten years, and am close to never voting for them again.

I caught up on season 2 of Andor last night and whew ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ even though I could see where it was heading, it still had the capacity to shock Some of the best television I've possibly ever watched ๐Ÿ™‚โ€โ†•๏ธ

Moon. (ft. 30x zoom)

I came across a review of this movie which opened with something like, "It presents a rich portrayal of the Jim Crow era and the cultural importance of music" โ€” and didn't read any further because some reviews have a tendency to spoil things. Friends, my jaw fell open when the vampires showed up.

Amateur hour at @thetimes.com? Modi is the Prime Minister of India, not its President

Sadiq Khan could build a million of these on London's periphery and NIMBYs cosplaying as social justice warriors would still call it "luxury housing" Greens are so fucking annoying lmao

It's nearly 11pm and the sky is still blue ๐Ÿ™‚โ€โ†•๏ธ

Me at every opportunity after trying an iced latte one time

The rats have chosen a new pope.

Blue skies and blue waters โ€“ another lovely day in Scotland's sunniest city ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟโ˜€๏ธ

Things are going well in Germany, then

๐Ÿšจ Crisis unfolds as local coffeehouse caught off-guard by occurrence of nice weather in Scotland โ€“ and fails to build adequate stockpiles of straws in anticipation of surging demand for iced coffee drinks. More as we get it. ๐ŸงŠโ˜•

"An unforgettable evening" "Star-studded lineup" Literally who are these people? ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Britain's electoral system has always been a clapped-out relic โ€“ but this year's local elections should bury it once and for all. It's no longer a two-horse race when there's a whole herd on the track. It's time to abolish FPTP. Maybe this thumping will make Starmer finally sit up and take notice.
