I just returned from a little Musk or Us rally in front of Frank Pallone's office in Long Branch, NJ. The word got out a little late so there were only 10 of us there. I didn't know a soul. The temperature was in the mid-20s, with wind blowing 25mph. Horn honking and cheers from passersbys.

The law partner of a friend of mine's daughter was one of the federal workers fired yesterday. She was working at the forest service. We will all hear these sorts of things in the coming days.

The wind speed is higher than the temperature this morning. The chihuahua blew over twice and I had to grab onto a telephone pole once. Bet we could generate lots of electricity if we had more windmills.

I am sad today. Last night at the grocery store a young man I trained as a cashier came to me and told me he had given notice and that his family will be moving back to Brazil in two weeks. His family owns an upscale clothing store and has operated it for years. They fear for their safety.

Last night at the grocery store a man complained about the prices. I countered with "What did you expect?" He looked sheepish and said, "I didn't expect this, nor did I expect the chaos in Washington." I gave him some info on the debates by the NJ candidates for governor, he promised to watch.
