Jamila Mascat, a friend and a great Hegelian thinker, is organizing this on the 9th of May in Amsterdam. Venez nombreux! www.spui25.nl/programma/th...

Some great pieces in the new RP! I recently joined the editorial collective and look forward to working on the next issue. Long live independent open access journals and philosophy that is more than merely academic!

Just some random (Marxist (Obviously)) thoughts about the whole tariffs thing: A lot of people seem to be approaching this as if capitalism is generally a harmonious happy system in which (pace Ricardo) if trade is just left alone then everyone benefits because the ‘economic’ logic bears out.

No hygge and no deadline extensions!

❗🚨KEYNOTE ANNOUNCEMENT🚨❗ All the rumors are true! Our first keynote speaker for this year's conference is none other than M.E.O’Brien😍 O'Brien writes and speaks on capitalism, gender freedom and family abolition!🔥

Israeli strikes have killed 71 people overnight in Gaza. A local hospital spokesperson says 710 killed and 900 wounded in Gaza in the last 48 hrs. Mass protests in Israel against renewal of the war. IDF intercepts missile launched from Yemen www.haaretz.com/israel-news/...

Realized I should mention this here—the collection of Lise Vogel’s essays I’ve been working on for the past two years. Lots of hard to find & out of print stuff, it tells the story of 50 years of Marxism & Feminism. “The Contested Domain” out this November w/ Pluto! www.amazon.com/Contested-Do...

if you find yourself reluctant to support the guy at Columbia because you find some of the politics he espoused distasteful or even abhorrent, you should know that this is exactly the reaction that they hoped for in choosing him as a target for unlawful detention based on political speech.

Kingston University plans to abolish the CRMEP. Don’t let them. Please read this open letter from current students and support their efforts whichever way you can! www.e-flux.com/notes/658933... 1/3

Sad to learn that Anson Rabinbach has passed away. His work In the Shadow of Catastrophe and contributions on fascism and anti-fascism (such as his essay on The Brown Book, below) have left an indelible mark on me over the years.

Intention for 2025 in stamps.

More Danish Marxism: On Sunday, December 22, 1974, an action began in the department store Magasin, where a so-called Santa Claus army handed out free gifts from the store's goods to visitors. (1/2)

RP2.17 is out now! Brenna Bhandar on impunity in times of genocide Neve Gordon on shields in Gaza Paul Guillibert on non-human resistance Peter Hallward on Heide Gerstenberger Interview with Kristin Ross and more... radicalphilosophy.com

I still can’t believe we made it: The recent Oxford Handbook to Nineteenth-Century Women Philosophers in the German Tradition presents such solid scholarship from the 30 contributors. (Somewhat) color-synchronized with Women Philosophers in the Nineteenth Century.   #philsky #artsky #feminism

Clearing my desk at the end of the semester. Not metaphorically.

I was preparing to pitch an op-ed on the nationwide protests calling for President Yoon's resignation, aiming to provide global context amid the limited international coverage. Given the urgency, I’m sharing it now. I didn’t expect events to escalate this quickly. #SouthKorea #Democracy

I'm at the National Assembly building. The army is here. And I just saw two soldiers in fatigues getting pushed around by belligerent ajusshis. and they looked legit scared.

New crossover nightmare genre: it’s a philosophy class but also a competitive cooking show. For anyone wondering, lecturing on Hegel’s concept of freedom while making fried chicken is hard.

Short time lurker, first time poster: an introduction seems appropriate. Hi! I’m a Danish philosopher and intellectual historian living in Rotterdam. I work mostly on German philosophy, critical theory, and the historiography of philosophy. Danish Marxism adjacent. Scrupulous note taker.
