well dispensationalist eschatology is having a moment huh

I keep getting L*la R*se content on FB in my suggested content because a friend keeps arguing in her comments section, so yes, engaging with the right to dispute them spreads their content around. I wish people would stop doing it.

Didn't have seeing Kat Von D talked about excitedly by conservative classical homeschoolers on my predictions list, BUT I SHOULD HAVE because that was foreseeable given *gestures at everything else she's done.*

this also means he's not neutered which is just upsetting to consider 😆

hell yeah Gov Pritzker

Love former evangelical men who deconstructed just enough to drink and post thirst traps but not enough to stop being sexists.

I don't know what to post lately except reshare threads and posts from those more informed than myself about what all of this is doing. This is my friend with family and friends in Ukraine fighting back against the national gaslighting happening now.

the probate process is a fucking nightmare. why do we do this to grieving people.

they want us to feel overwhelmed, powerless, in despair, and like we don't matter, because we absolutely do matter and do have power.

apparently my coping mechanism right now is watching Raye perform "Oscar Winning Tears" at the Grammy's, over and over and over again. But God it was magical. I love powerful vocalists who can emote like that.

Trixie and Katya ripping apart the film Emilia Perez is my new favorite repeat comfort watch.

We are really enjoying this history curriculum, Curiosity Chronicle: Snapshots of Ancient History. I appreciate the diversity in people covered, the dialogue format helps my kid remember, the colorful pages pull my kid in, and the additional resources/activities are solid. It's fully secular.

the pardoned Jan 6ers immediately committing more crimes and getting caught is funny. the crimes they committed? not funny. committing them after a pardon and getting caught immediately? very funny. Taking my laughs where I can.

Y'all are once again missing the point of climate optimism. It's not about ignoring the very harsh realities of the climate crisis -- it's about keeping people engaged in activism by reminding them that a better future is still possible. Hope keeps movements alive. Constant doom kills them.

Intelligence officials are starting to leak to me now too. Here’s a memo Defense Intelligence Agency personnel received instructing them to suspend observances including: - Holocaust Remembrance Day - MLK Day - Juneteenth

career civil servants serving up some hope this day

Oh no Colombian President Gustavo Petro has released another track

my favorite thing about this is that of the Bible translations that would do this, ESV is definitely the one I would have chosen.

Here's a friendly reminder that our global transition to clean energy can't be stopped by one world leader.

My first Substack hasn't even been online for a week yet, and I already got my first hate comment. You can't comment unless you're a paid subscriber, so the account literally paid $5 to send me hate. I think that means I'm doing a good job.

The "he's not gonna listen to her" reactions are missing many points. Lots of other people are also hearing it. Lots of people can see him hearing it, then weigh what she's said with what he'll do. Lots of people can see her refusal to surrender these ancient teachings to the latest face of empire

This. When you've found yourself in a position to speak truth to power, you should always speak up even if you think it's not going to do anything. Remaining silent is an assent.

a poem about grief.

Dear climate scientists and activists, Please be mindful of what you post publicly because I can guarantee you that young people will take it out of context and assume things are hopeless. Sincerely, A climate communicator tired of dealing with suicidal messages from kids citing your posts
