Also finally got a rough draft of Chapter 49 ironed out, so that's gonna take an editing pass and then publish maybe next week? It's really long, about 700 to 1000 words longer than my usual posts. In other news, Vol. 2, Chapter 48 was actually the 100th published chapter of The Knights Himura.

An underrepresented aspect of Japanese auteur writing, be it anime or manga or video games or film, etc, is that sometimes Japanese creators like to do Wikipedia binges on what they're working on and random minute details will greatly affect the outcome of the story.

My biggest personal problem that I think no one would wanna hear is that I don't really like the weird bi "erasure" of Jill Stingray, where people keep pushing her as a lesbian (most of the time, unintentionally) and it irks me cuz it feels like it removes a bunch of interesting stuff about her
