Finally got around to reading Marisa Crane's I KEEP MY EXOSKELETONS TO MYSELF, and it's just as amazing as everyone said it was. I deeply regret not reading it earlier so that I could have nominated it for all the things.

A tiny restaurant in a tiny town in northern Spain - could fit 15 people, maybe, if everyone squeezed - with astonishing dark hot chocolate, rich and transforming and almost as thick as pudding, with just the lightest - the lightest - touch of hot spice and vanilla. (Place is, alas, long closed.)

Look, I'm always going to side-eye anyone who kills a dragon. Anyone. However pious and holy they claim to be.

Hey, Binghamton University/SUNY, get on this. Plenty of other SUNY schools have.

Paddington.

I've been informed that some of you need more cat pictures today:

If by "some type of deep state forces," Brian Kilmeade means ME, then, yes, I do indeed want to make sure that Hegseth doesn't stay at the Pentagon.

Day seven of attempting to get off Wayfair mailing lists. No success yet.

Speaking for just me, I'm absolutely willing to give this guy an impeachment trial. Maybe a lot of them.

Submit to our lit mag, we're open for the first time in forever, we pay $150 for Art that references Taco Bell. We're more prestigious than the Paris Review which no one has even heard of.

Anyway, happy Easter.

While the gospels say that Judas led the Romans to Jesus, a new theory is gaining traction with some Biblical scholars. There is evidence, some say, that Judas merely shared Christ's location on an insecure group chat that accidentally included several Roman officials and journalists.

This. Honestly I feel kinda left out.

This whole thread. (sniffling)

Netflix, letting me know that you have counted the days since I canceled my subscription is not exactly encouraging me to resubscribe.

disciple 1: he’s alive! returned from the dead! disciple 2: did he roll away the stone? disciple 3: did he show you the holes in his hands? judas: did he uh. did he mention me

Angel of the Lord: He is not here, He is risen, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead. Alito: Okay, first of all, this violates ALL sorts of rules Thomas: This was a LAWFUL execution, who is God to interfere

BUNNIES, BUNNIES, BUNNIES! IT MUST BE BUNNIES! (or maybe chocolate)

My best, most evergreen publishing advice: before you listen to any advice, Google the giver's credentials and make sure they have actually accomplished the thing you aspire to accomplish.

Hey, Google! Just to clarify, the only thing I want to know about Google Gemini is how to make it go away.

My in-laws inscrutable cat is either wishing me a happy #caturday or advising me it’s scheming to replace me in their will. Maybe both.

Some of you* have not been paying sufficient attention to the cat today**, and it's audible*** * actually me ** or at least not handed out sufficient cat treats yet *** sometimes, even if you're a cat, you just have to howl. Or so I understand.

I'm willing to clear this important issue up. Its legal status is THAT IT'S A MUSEUM.
