A good analogy of what the UK government has just done to every Apple user in the UK.

Well this sounds like a very bad idea…

Went to see The Last Showgirl this evening with @editorialcat.bsky.social and it was absolutely superb, casting was brilliant, Pamela Anderson was terrific, as was the cinematography.

A friend is trying to fund their next film, which is challenging even at the best of times let alone these days, so please do take a look! 🎬🎥📽️🎞️

I remember my first A-Level physics lesson, the teacher started it by saying, forget everything you learned at GCSE, it was wrong. You don’t try to teach einsteinian physics to a bunch of 14 year olds.

Please sign this and share the absolute shit out of it. Access to work has a six month waiting list currently Ito even have a consultation and even then, people who should be getting supportive workers are being fobbed off with software and online coaching. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/70...

A Comment article in Nature Medicine argues that clinical research should recruit participants from LGBTQIA+ populations, which requires specific actions and policies to create affirming and welcoming environments. https://go.nature.com/3WILuQi 🧪

‘Worse than the 1980s’ – that’s the arts sector now. It’s not a good look for a Labour government | Charlotte Higgins

What #films are you looking forward to seeing this year? 🍿🎬 #MovieSky #FilmSky

After I revealed my #ASD / #ADHD status, my appearances on 2 podcasts were inexplicably cancelled, and a contract offer evaporated. All coincidences, I'm sure. If not, what was the worry? That I'd run around uncontrollably hooting before insisting on solving complex maths problems in my head?

Unfortunately I’m from Suffolk originally. *sigh*

Legacy of Kain is still one of my favourite game series and mythologies, it seems to be getting a lot of love all of a sudden after years/decades of nothingness. Problem is reviews of some of these companies pushing ‘official’ content seems ropey at best so very unsure about investing.

My film research is funded by the NEH. I might be out of a job soon. If anyone needs a professional film researcher, lmk.

I discovered today that @scottjohnson.zip brought The Instance Podcast, @theinstance.bsky.social, back last year after a 2 year hiatus and I didn’t realise! If you’re a Warcraft player, this was one of my favourite podcasts for the game, highly recommend.

“…US is restricting the sale of the advanced chip technology that powers AI to China…has resulted in AI models that require far less computing power than before” The US has accidentally solved some of the energy demand issues of AI. 😂

Every time I have to mark student psych essays I have to first go through them all and check for AI hallucinations in the references, just as nature intended. We aren't going to make it are we?

For those needing an escape from things, maybe #BookSky can help? What are you currently reading or writing? Please share your book recommendations and other wordy creative outlets ☺️ 💙📚

My directorial debut "Talia" recently moved to a different channel on Omeleto. If you enjoy family-friendly, community made short films, please do give it a watch. (It's also a carbon neutral production) 🎬🌳 #ShortFilm #Filmmakers #FilmsOnBluesky #Writer #Director youtu.be/Gqx5o6GU4yI?...
