So, French house's garden weeded, very nice pasta courtesy of Other Half consumed, much French wine consumed, half a chapter of the next novel written and now playing a Bowie CD. Avec more French wine. No complaints here.

Was just browsing Kickstarter for no reason and was v excited to see that @juliansimpson.bsky.social and @maybeitwasutah.bsky.social are at it again with their Lovecraft Investigations! #lovecraft #horror #pleasantgreen Check it out: www.kickstarter.com/projects/cro...

Still feeling rather disheartened by today but the sale’s still going and I don’t want to not at least try so ⬇️ My dystopian sci-fi series is on sale along with so many other books! Books range from FREE to 1.99! Mine are 99c! πŸŽ‰ Indie sale link: indiebook.sale My books on sale: mybook.to/rSMw0

Chanced across a CD of 'Six' by #Mansun in a charity shop in Alnwick and played it all week as I zipped up and down the A1. What a wonderfully strange band they were.

I’m just ✨ 13 sales ✨ away from reaching 10,000 lifetime sales! πŸ₯³ Any reposts of my books or stories to help spread the word would be most appreciated as sales are slooow today and I’d really love to reach this goal by the end of the month if I can! πŸ’ͺ πŸ“šπŸ’™

I'll be popping into the Romancing the Gothic book club session on Monday 31st March to chat about my short story SNOW CHILD. It's on sale on my website (cmrosens.com) right now, also available via Itch and Ko-Fi, links below. #BookSky πŸ©ΈπŸ“šπŸ˜± #Horror buy.bookfunnel.com/1ga7dqd1b5

Highlighting for #SwampSunday the stamps featuring the Grindylow, a creature from northern English folklore that grabs and drowns children who venture too close to ponds and marshes, and good old Nessie swimming majestically through Loch Ness with head held high

Rebecca/Indie is totally genuine and very worth following. Though please note she is a historian and NOT an archaeologist. Just saying.

Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter is the greatest vampire film ever made. There. I said it. #HorrorWritersChat

I'm most way through writing a series, which really lends itself to having a deep backstory. Some stories need it, some don't. I guess the trick is knowing! #HorrorWritersChat

I don't think any fiction needs a lesson & I don't think great fiction ever results from setting out to lecture. That doesn't mean there shouldn't be opinions expressed, but they should be incidental, flowing from characters & plot. Proselytizing never works in any case. #HorrorWritersChat

I'm Mark, I currently mostly write noir-ish Lovecraftian horror with a twist of folk horror. I'm only working on one project at the moment: Book 6 of my Darkisle series of novels. I like to crack on with a single project at a time usually. #HorrorWritersChat

Well my attempted #cyanotype sepia print failed miserably, but very pleased with this effort. I call it Reykjavik Snowstorm.

Thanks for having my book on your show and also for the insights! I'll get working on writing enough for two collections next time round! πŸ˜„

Very, very happy to learn yesterday that I got my old seasonal job back at Beamish Museum! The most fun job I've ever had and working in the 1913 town is the best way possible to research my early 20th Century Lovecraftian horror. Happy days! www.beamish.org.uk

Currently working on the plot for Book 6 of my Darkisle series. Which, to the uninitiated, might look a lot like me staring into space while listening to Elbow CDs while drinking Scotch.

The French go for a more permanent fix, it seems (quick translation: 15 Teslas at a dealership near Toulouse torched). www.francebleu.fr/infos/faits-...

Top 3 interviews this week - have you found Lem's SFF books (free to read), Frankie's paranormal vampire books, & Terri's cosy paranormal mysteries? πŸ“šπŸ’™πŸ‘€ Lem & his links: cmrosens.com/2025/01/08/a... Very excited to be on this list!

A nice podcast review of 'Of Shadows, Stars & Sabers' from @fictionfanspod.bsky.social. Sounds my kinda anthology and I LOVE the cover. Well worth trawling the Fiction Fans archives btw. www.fictionfanspodcast.com/episodes

Currently typing up my old diaries summarising the weather and wildlife through the year where I live (Co. Durham, UK). Aim is to use them to get the right birdsong, wildflowers etc for a given time of year in my stories. For 2013 just reached 3rd April and the default entry is STILL "Still cold".

Episode 1 is out now! The complete novel will be serialised weekly - interviews and other bonus episodes in between the main ones. Follow @eldritchgirlpod.bsky.social for updates! #BookSky #FantasyBooks #Fantasy #Audiobooks πŸ“šπŸŽ§πŸ’™πŸ“šπŸͺπŸ°
