Watching #4Nations action really puts how weak the current Penguins team is into the spotlight. Crosby is going to head back and just be demoralized by the sad set of players around him on the ice in Pittsburgh. Slower, weaker, less accurate … it’s tough to want to keep playing, I’d think.

Now seems like the time to re-float my thoughts on 3-on-3 hockey OT. Adopt a basketball idea: Once a team passes a given line offensively, they can no longer go back beyond the previous line. Pass own blue, can’t retreat past own goal line. Pass red line, can’t retreat past own blue. Etc.
