People forget how many private companies that have government contracts. If they fire 100,000 feds, a lot of companies could be forced to reciprocate.

So, obviously the young programmers Musk brought to the government agencies aren’t doing forensic accounting. Only thing I think is plausible is they got the staff list and are now cross referencing with political posts, so they can fire people who aren’t loyal to Trump.

He's not a "kid." He's an adult, with an important govt job. The posts weren't "stupid." They were hatefully racist. His life isn't "ruined." He lost a job. Holding a govt employee accountable is not a "reward" for a journalist. The reporter doesn't get a cookie.
