One of our supporters shared this with us—people are getting creative tonight!

It could mean that the world financial system melts down when investors realize that Elon Musk may selectively default on US debt. Just saying.

Board member of META asks a very good question.

Hello non-technical people. Just a heads up. Musk isn’t a programmer, a systems architect, or anyone with experience building or running large systems of any kind. However, he’s taken credit for others binding large systems which makes him think he’s That Guy. He is not.

Oops 😬

A few photos from the first few days of our month-long snowboarding road trip, chasing the snow through Utah and Idaho so far... #snowboarding #overlanding

Why are congress members impressed that Musk "fixed" X? It was always a poorly run company. And from current performance, it still is. "Elon Musk trimmed fat on X, and we have the chance to do same here," Comer said about Musk's deep cuts at the social media giant. news.yahoo.com/news/republi...

Steve Ballmer is matching FireAid donations from everyone during the benefit concert. That’s how you billionaire. By supporting fellow Americans, not selling them out.

Crypto bros fretting that Trump getting rich off of a meme coin undermines the credibility of the crypto industry is like meth dealers being worried Walter White made their profession look bad.

The assault on NIH is a test for how the national media covers the Trump admin: Trump is shutting down medical research! That is easy to communicate. Will they treat it as a 5 alarm fire in a way that forces the government to respond, or will they downplay & caveat it?

Tragic reality: Another school shooting today barely makes headlines, while billionaire feuds dominate our news cycle. Clearly, we have our priorities figured out.

Wow. Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde fearlessly calls out Trump and Vance to their faces. This is heroic. (posting in 3 parts due to Bluesky's 1 minute limit)

The TikTok ban, the Musk Twitter takeover, the Facebook moderation policy changes, the Republicans’ rapidly intensifying crackdowns on speech... let these be the proof you needed to move anything you care about online to a space you control. Digital sovereignty is more important than ever.

The intensity of our outrage at tech leaders (Musk, Zuck) reveals an uncomfortable truth: We've become so dependent on these platforms that we react with personal betrayal to their leaders' decisions - despite our long-standing skepticism of both the platforms and their leadership.

What does it say about the College Football rankings that we have #7 playing #8 for the championship. And every one of the top 4 teams lost their first game? #cfb #ncaa #ncaaf

Observing the online vs. offline persona shift has me thinking. Met someone recently who seemed open-minded, but their social media is a different story. 🤔 1/5

Hey Bluesky community! Looking for the best ski resort in the Rockies (CO, UT, ID, WY, MT, BC) where I can camp in my truck overnight. What are your top recommendations? 🏔️🏂 #snowboarding #SnowboardingAdventures

That awkward moment when someone asks 'What do you do?' and your old answer no longer exists. New post about identity after leaving tech leadership: markgroves.us/2024/12/04/w...

Picked up a snowboard waxing kit today. Ready to transform my board into a sleek speed machine—or possibly a sticky mess. Here’s to learning new skills! 🏂🛠️ #snowboarding

What's something you intentionally keep 'inefficient' in your personal life? Sometimes the 'least optimal' way is the most human way. Writing about this - would love your thoughts

Pens Fan Rant: We were up 3-1 against the Stanley Cup champs, Panthers, but now it's OT at 4-4. Can we just make all games two periods? Clearly, the Penguins excel for 40 minutes! 🐧🏒 #pens #pittsburghpens

Just published my thoughts on redefining success after almost 30 years in tech. Turns out, unlearning can be harder than learning... #EarlyRetirement #FIRE #RedefiningSuccess #PersonalGrowth markgroves.us/2024/12/03/r...

Some things never change—I’m still that 12-year-old taking things apart, but now I don’t get in trouble for it. #DIYLife #bronco

Listening to @peterattiamd.bsky.social and Bill Perkins discuss 'Die with Zero' affirmed my decision to retire early. Life's too short not to chase experiences over accumulating stuff. How are you investing your precious time? peterattiamd.com/billperkins/...

Steelers pulled off a win today! A solid victory against the Bengals brings some much-needed momentum. December football is heating up, and so are we! 🏈 #HereWeGo

“People always say, ‘The news is too negative.’ Well, why don’t people click on and retweet and share our more positive stories? I think the answer Bluesky is giving us is that it was the algorithms." -me www.nbcnews.com/tech/social-...

At Walgreens and an elder has used the website to make a WHOLE photobook for the holidays. However, every phone is a screenshot from photos app and her battery gauge, the toolbars, and the time. She doesn’t want to pay and the cashier is having trouble explaining why. I think it looks amazing.

How cool was it to see the vintage ski buses at Wolf Creek today? Such an awesome way to celebrate their 85th season! 🏔️🚍 #ThrowbackVibes #wolfcreekski

The Skydio-China tariffs dispute highlights how deeply interconnected global supply chains are. Even the most U.S.-centric manufacturers struggle to source everything domestically. Trade tensions remind us how vital global cooperation is in manufacturing. www.nytimes.com/2024/11/27/b...
