I'm chairing a session at ICMS in May (for which I'm a contributing reviewer). However, after booking my plane ticket, I really don't want to fly. Amtrak goes from Minot to Kalamazoo with only one change in Chicago, but I've heard it's not reliable. If you've done the 'Zoo by train, how was it?

The Department of Education has sent a letter essentially saying that talking—even *thinking*—about race is the only *real* racism and making implied threats to pull funds from universities that dare claim that systemic racism is real. When they try to divide us, remember: no war but class war.

I shut off FB Purity, the extension that blocked ads/posts from FB pages I hadn't followed, when I silenced Facebook. I went there today for a weekly check of Larry's account and was shocked to see all the fake "human interest" posts I had blocked. Do people really not realize this is garbage?
