"The Equity LGBT+ Committee is deeply concerned by reports of homophobic abuse. These incidents are not isolated but part of a wider, global pushback against LGBTQ+ rights and visibility. Theatre has long been a space for LGBTQ+ expression, and we must be proactive in protecting that space."

The new production of Chekhov’s Three Sisters at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse is the most traditional I’ve ever seen but staged beautifully with an excellent cast and a lively & lucid translation. 📸 Johan Persson #TheatreSky

A mid-journey coffee boost at theatre café-bar The Glitch in Lower Marsh en route to the Globe’s Sam Wanamaker Playhouse to see Chekhov’s Three Sisters in a new translation by Rory Mullarkey. #TheatreSky

Exciting to see East Bank developing with the new Sadler’s Wells East and next year the new V&A East museum

Two episodes into new German Netflix series Cassandra, and I’m hooked, but then I am a sucker for sci-fi/supernatural/psychological dramas so maybe it’s no surprise. #Cassandra #KIhorrorstory

Thomson Reuters has won the first major AI copyright case in the US. The decision has big implications for the battle between generative AI companies and rightsholders.

Well, the first episode of the new Uncanny TV series was bloody terrifying. Jump scares, fascinating social history, a bit of science, maybe some ghosts, all combined in an hour of deliciously creepy storytelling. www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/epis... #UncannyCommunity #Uncanny

Midway through BBC drama series Miss Austen which is a joy, with a wonderful cast including Keeley Hawes, Synnøve Karlsen, Jessica Hynes, Rose Leslie & Patsy Ferran (perfectly cast as Jane Austen) #MissAusten

Average service charge for flat in England and Wales hit ÂŁ2,300 last year. Service charges exceed council tax. Unchecked profiteering creating misery, leaving little to spend on essentials. People trapped, can't easily sell. Need rent controls.

At Cabaret yesterday, Cliff said his line “…if you’re not against all this then you’re for it. Or you might as well be”. The audience interrupted the scene to applaud that line so strongly it stopped the show. Doing a show about the onset of fascism right now is. . . chilling.

Every year since he was 11, my son has created a handmade birthday card for me based on Calvin & Hobbes. The one on the left was the first, and I've watched his draughtsmanship grow with each year. #SundayPixHandmade

🤦‍♂️ So Labour are making ads boasting about deportations, with Reform-style branding. Why are Labour trying to be like Farage and his mates? If only the Government put as much effort into creating a fast, fair and dignified asylum system.

This is nonsense but a fun conversation starter

After seeing The Little Foxes on stage, I have no idea how I continued the story in my pre-teen fan fiction but I recall my story ended with Leo Hubbard’s son being broke and alone when, in fact, he probably would have ended up as an oligarch.

Wonderful to finally get to see Lillian Hellman’s classic American play The Little Foxes on stage at the Young Vic: a little dated but brilliantly brought to life through Lyndsey Turner’s direction and a superb cast including Anne-Marie Duff, Anna Madeley & Eleanor Worthington-Cox. 📸 Johan Persson

When I was a kid, I was so taken by the 1941 Bette Davis film The Little Foxes after seeing it on TV over the summer holiday that I wrote a fanfic sequel!!! I do not remember why. But for the first time I’m finally seeing Lillian Hellman’s play on a stage at the Young Vic tonight.
