Fuck yes they are

I LOVE REGULATION. I LOVE THE PEACE OF MIND KNOWING THAT A RESTAURANT IS SAFE TO EAT AND A PRODUCT WONT KILL ME. I WANT MORE REGULATION. I DONT WANT CORPORATIONS TO BREATHE WITHOUT GOVERNMENT PERMISSION.

I photographed the smallest bar in Cleveland, Ohio, Johnny’s Little Bar, and this is what I got

Think about this for a hot second

imagining a special operations veteran who transports nuclear weapons pits for a living being fired over Zoom by a 19-year-old Groyper who looks like a Hey Arthur character

I think the general internet argument view of “you have emotion about this event har har, you’re triggered, you have an emotional response to cruelty har har” has been a complete disaster for humanity both for the person being told that and for the person saying it

Bernie Sanders is the most popular senator in the country with an almost 70% approval rating and has been for years and the people leading the Democratic party have determined this is a bizarre fluke that should be completely ignored and that there's absolutely nothing to derive from it.

Anytime a storm is brewing, your local forecasters are getting the latest data from NOAA. As the agency faces an uncertain future, one thing's for sure: for-profit companies would struggle to replicate NOAA's weather-forecasting prowess.

hakeem jeffries' wife packing up to go stay at her parents because she asked him to wash the dishes and he stood in front of the sink throwing his hands in the air and saying "what can i do, the water isn't even on"

Trump illegally firing the youngest, fittest US Forest Service firefighters after a few weeks of bullshit about how the LA fires were caused by government incompetence is quite a thing.

The #Cavs front court length is causing all sorts of problems.

Romance scams cost victims hundreds of millions of dollars a year. As people grow increasingly isolated, and generative AI helps scammers scale their crimes, the problem could get worse.

Jon Stewart asks why Democratic leaders think they need better messaging rather than better policies. House Leader Hakeem Jeffries replies their solution is "making the American people feel that we understand the pain that they've been in" — the exact thing Stewart was criticizing!

Trae Young is the best player I've ever seen whose hair situation almost always looks at least kind of like Big Ern McCracken near the end of "Kingpin"

there's a headline on nyt, excuse me the athletic, "why the lakers couldn't say no to the luka doncic trade" uh is it because he's a no-question top-five nba player who's 25 years old?

At Y! Sports: I wrote about exceptionalism, dreams, nightmares, old-head wisdom, bold gambits, prime movers, half-court defense, half-court offense, the past, the future, and the absolute brain-melting stunner that is Luka Dončić for Anthony Davis: yhoo.it/4aF1Pvf

You're probably confused as to why I've been able to post so much on grammy night but believe it or not we weren't nominated for anything

Cannot recommend enough the latest Notes on the Crises about what the Treasury payments system does, why it's so critical, and why Elon Musk breaking it would be such a disaster www.crisesnotes.com/elon-musk-wa...

The remote work debate was funny because it forced the question "Is a job something valuable you do or is it a place you go to be watched like daycare" and the answer for a lot of them was yeah it's the daycare thing now come on inside recess is over

The real lesson of Zuckerberg and Musk is that some people are just born with loser stink on them that no amount of wealth or power will ever scrub off

"You're as good as your record says you are," Stephen Curry said after the Cavs mopped up the Warriors. "So they're pretty damn good right now." The record says the Cavs are 29-4, on pace for one of the most dominant seasons ever. They believe. Do you? yhoo.it/4fIbYIj

On a preseason podcast, I wondered why a team that won 48 games last year despite being ravaged by injuries couldn't be "like, a 55-win team waiting to happen." It appears that I was *massively* underselling them! Up today at Y! Sports: The case for the Cavs: yhoo.it/4fIbYIj

If you start Chop Suey at 11:59:16 Serj Tankian will say WAKEUP right at midnight

THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS ARE 29-4!!!!!!

Yeah I was on bsky when it was invite only, I'm part of a pretty selective few, otherwise known as "social media addicted losers"

Jalen Williams is playing center at 6-foot-5 and running point in the second unit, and he's got 27 points, 7 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 blocks and 2 steals in 26 minutes. What an absolute monster. This isn't new — I wrote it in March — but I still think it checks out. yhoo.it/438kw6A

Ahh, GoodFellas the way it was meant to be watched: the last 20 minutes on AMC with commercial breaks and the profanity bleeped

Free agency, trades, the draft, coaching changes — a ton has happened since the last NBA game. How has it changed the big picture? A new one, just up at Y! Sports: A reintroduction to the '23-'24 NBA title race, making the cases for (and against) Vegas' top six favorites. yhoo.it/3rH69rF

Sort of shouting into the void here. But I truly believe adding a movement shooter and a stretch 4 will make the cavs markedly better (top 2-3 seed?) in the regular season. Don’t know how that will play up in the playoffs. But people are REALLY underestimating the initial spacing impact here.

(Taps mic) is this thing on?
