The latest issue of The Vertigo Weekly Reader is out. Eternity offers something different if you happen to be a piece of corporate-owned IP.

I find the experience of looking at Pinterest or Instagram's 'for you' tab ruined by the question: 'is this AI generated?' I don't want to look at fake photos of imaginary scenes sucked from an LLM. I don't want to look at 'art' that wasn't created by a person.

One of the things I like about Big Hero 6 is how they never really suggest that Baymax is 'alive', and yet the film invites you to treat it/him as though it/him is. It's this sort of weird open philosophical space that goes unaddressed. In a Disney film.
