Let's talk about writing, books, MN sports, politics, art, science, philosophy, and, most importantly, puns. Living in New England, still feel Minnesotan. Sometimes have fever dreams about Jabberjaw.

They put up barricades to keep out the squirrels.

Both gks were bad. But SD doubled up the Loons in xG. They picked MN apart even without key attackers. Found space all over the attacking third. This was a decisive loss. Loons should be a playoff team, but not a serious contender at this stage. #MNUFC

Fitting end. Loons torn apart again. That was a beat down in the second half. Domination by a depleted team. #MNUFC

When it comes to finding attacking options off the bench, pretty bleak. Loons just throwing anyone on who may have scored a goal at some point in their life. Pretty uninspired attack all night. #MNUFC

Watching this match, you’d like SD was the team chasing a goal. Loons have been poor all night with the ball. Credit to SD press, but even in space, passes have been behind or too wide. Speel almost gifted another. Disaster MLS debut. #MNUFC

SD with a deserved lead. Loons really outclassed by a undermanned team at home. The type of performance through 80 that shows they still have far to go to be a real threat. Very disappointing showing so far. #MNUFC

All SD right now. Loons can’t hold or connect in midfield. 18+ to go in a tied match at home and Loons have no attack. #MNUFC

And now Markanich with sloppy defending gifts a pen. It’s 2-2 and the Loons attack has not looked capable of mounting much tonight. Man, how does Speel not save that? More gk disasters. #MNUFC

Loons survive, just barely. They made a mess out of that low cross. Again, not a banner night for the gk position. But goal is disallowed. 30+ to go. #MNUFC

Loons miss Tani on those crosses. He’s just much better in the air than Yeboah. That last cross that went through the box is one Tani attacks. #MNUFC

2-1 but not a comfortable lead. Even down key players, SD’s movement has made the Loons uneasy in defense. Might need one more gk mistake to feel more confident. Loons should have some openings to counter if they can stay composed on the ball in midfield. #MNUFC

The goalkeeper nightmare continues. Pereyra with a long shot that should’ve been dealt with better. Instead, a lovely rebound and Yeboah pounces. 2-1. Should SD just play without a goalkeeper? #MNUFC

Loons again struggling to keep the ball. Midfield largely absent through 30. Finally, after a recycled corner, a half chance at best. First semi-threat since the opening minutes. #MNUFC

Wow, rough MLS debut for Speel. He’s asleep at the Speel as Dreyer’s long blast soars in. #MNUFC

McVey with a brilliant finish! Own goal of the year nominee. 1-0. New “we don’t need the ball to win” tactic unlocked. #MNUFC

Somehow, the Oilers need to be included in every playoff series. Every round. Both conferences.

if aaron rodgers had waited like 2 more hours he could have been in charge of doge instead

AI is Getting Worse, but It's Getting Worse

It was never going to be easy to break the curse. Loons hang on. Get a rare burst of sustained offense to start the second and hold on for dear life. All three points, nightmare over. And now the commentators will have to actually discuss something else. #MNUFC

Yeboah needs to lay that ball off to Bongi there. Instead, hesitates looking for his own shot. Loons thankfully get a goal kick to relieve pressure after the counter. Stoppage time at 7 min. Buckle up. #MNUFC

Minoungou causing all kinds of problems on the wing. Just racing by any player in front of him. Now Romero mishandles a cross and turns it into an own goal. Still 7+ and it’s 1 goal. Loons barely hanging on. #MNUFC

This is another “Loons must be careful” stretch. Getting pushed back deep, and a goal line clearance. Losing the ball immediately. 20+ to go. Markanich with a key clearance, but lucky to not be sent off. Seattle winning headers in the box, which has not been an issue often this year for MN. #MNUFC

Wtf is happening?! Pereyra surprised Frei with the shot and Frei did not do well with it. But credit to Tani for jumping on it. 3-1. 30+ to go and Sounders make a line change. #MNUFC

I was about to make the obvious 2-0 lead in Seattle, what could go wrong. Loons get beat right off the restart. Markanich way too casual. 2-1. 35+ to go. #MNUFC

Beautiful goal! That Lod hasn’t been present as much this season, but an amazing turn and perfect feed. Tani made that finish look much easier than it was. And now Bongi wins a penalty!! #MNUFC

Solid half. Much better over the last 10 min. On the key road trip, Loons have created very few true chances in 3 halves. This team needs more stretches like that last one to be a true threat to the top clubs—to actually getting a win, not just grinding out a road pt. #MNUFC

Loons lucky. Great lashed cross and Rothrock had a lot of goal to aim at. But a close range Gregus lets MN off. #MNUFC

Sometimes the Loons are too impatient at the long ball. There Pereyra had space with the potential for players to join and just tried the through ball to Tani who was well-covered. Let that attack develop. It’s not a sin to get over 30% possession. #MNUFC
