Train of fallstreak holes by Snoqualmie, WA a bit ago! #wawx

Areas by the mouth of the Columbia River got some serious gusts last night! Astoria, OR - 76 mph Astoria Regional Airport - 60 mph Cape Disappointment - 88 mph Some of these stations are not reporting right now because they lost power #wawx #orwx

Very concerned about strong south winds across the Seattle area tonight. Models are in very good agreement that winds have the potential to gust up to 55-65 mph. Already saturated soils will cause concern for trees to fall leading to power outages. #wawx

Absolute beauty of a low pressure system unfolding off the PNW coast right now! #wawx #orwx

Good day to see Snoqualmie Falls! It’s roaring! Water levels along the Snoqualmie River reached action stage today and will fall below that tonight #wawx

Amazing sunrise ongoing across western WA. You can see Rainier casting a shadow on the Tacoma webcam! #wawx #sunrise

Blowing snow madness at Snoqualmie Ridge, WA earlier this afternoon!! ❄️💨 #wawx

Mesoscale meteorology in visual form in the Cascade foothills this afternoon! Dry easterly winds funneling down in the Cascade canyons are stopping the snow from advancing north into King county. These winds will die down tonight allowing the snow move in across the area. #wawx

Last evening in western Washington was quite the spectacle. Some of the best alpenglow I have ever seen plus a full moon rise over the Cascade crest! Pictures taken from Snoqualmie Ridge #wawx

#wawx #thunderstorm This storm had supercell structure and apparent twin waterspouts, here with Mark Stewart and Matthew Pfab editing the photos. I'm still not believing what I saw. Very dark at the time, but did anyone else see this near Seahurst park, South of West Seattle?

Impactful snowstorm likely in the lowlands (central/south sound) and foothills this afternoon and tonight as a vort max settles in over the area. Thinking 1-4” of snow widespread, with 5-7” possible in the foothills (particularly Tiger Mtn). Roads will be hazardous. #wawx

Last night’s snow event certainly over performed. About 2 inches in Redmond, WA! #wawx

These are all the streets surrounding Redmond and Union Hill right now. At least a half inch of slush waiting to freeze later tonight. Tuesday morning’s commute will be hazardous in these areas #wawx

Ridiculous snowflakes in Union Hill, WA right now! #wawx

Really coming down now! ❄️

Tonight could surprise a lot of people across Western Washington. Strong low pressure system has the potential to go pretty far inland with gusty south winds for most of the Puget Sound. Wouldn’t rule out gusts up to 55-65 mph. Prepare for possible power outages! #wawx

Amazing asperitas cloud deck over Lake Sammamish this afternoon! #wawx

Lenticulars/waterfall kind of afternoon 📍Snoqualmie & North Bend, WA #wawx
