Liverpool are now going to face a Newcastle team without Isak and Gordon in a cup final, what kind of spirits did they summon at the start of the season

That challenge on Mateta was disgusting but you just know that he's going to come back with a face mask on and completely clean up the league.

Two washed left-backs, a midfielder and a 17yo all on the pitch before Raheem Sterling

Jorginho/Rice still Arsenal's best midfield pairing. Zubimendi can't come soon enough yknow

Phil Foden and Martin Ødegaard are suffering from the same issue. They're specialists that you can plug in alongside specific players and they'll enhance the group. Just because they're not Andres Iniesta doesn't make them bad players.

I genuinely don't think Arsenal need much more. Certainly not a £100m striker... and Alexander Isak would not magically fix this team. Just need to upgrade one or two and fix the dynamics of this side.

Martin Ødegaard, we need to have words

I'm sorry, you can't deny a goalscoring opportunity *on the halfway line*

I mean this in the nicest possible way: Zirkzee plays like a retired pro in a charity game against celebrities and daft YouTubers

At least Manchester United have had some free midweeks for Amorim to instill his ideas, otherwise they might look an absolute omnishambles.

Honestly I love Abdoulaye Doucoure, he goes down as one of the most underrated midtable Prem ballers ever, for me. Can do a bit of everything in an age of specialists and even in teams that have to run 10km, his engine is unbelievable.

If Tottenham fans can't see the irony of calling Arsenal "Woolwich" anymore... 😭 www.nytimes.com/athletic/614...

Timothy Weah as a right-back is an absolute revelation. Motta profiles players incredibly well

Can't say I'm that surprised by this Dani Ceballos renaissance. Always lacked security on the ball but his temperament is top class. He's so supremely sure of himself however he's playing

My god, Pedri is just a level above everyone else in Europe, isn't he

Four days later ffs

Arsenal will never win a trophy until we stop evoking a level of dislike from opponents that generates 5-10%, rather than the bored acquiescence that City seem to inspire. Change my mind.

Kevin Danso will be a very good pick up for Ange. Solves one problem.

Unpopular opinion: This Liverpool penalty is a far worse decision than the Myles Lewis-Skelly red card.

Arguably the best thing about modern football is that clubs like Brighton have earned the right to sell their players for what THEY think they're worth, and not the average Twitter moron who'll say "Oh but Player X left Spain for half of that"

Need to see a lefthand side of Nwaneri LCM, Lewis-Skelly LB and Martinelli LW. Just need to

Sverre Nypan is perhaps the best signing that Arsenal could make this month. 18 years old, has the feel for midfield in his blood and is excellent in all three thirds. Has both the genes to a) dictate a game and b) always find himself in the right place at the right time. He's special.

Tottenham lack the three most important players in any team. An organisational centre-back, a defensive midfielder who can cover large spaces and a tempo-setting midfielder. One would significantly improve them, all three would have them competing for top four.

Mateta vs. Mbeumo is Super Sunday heritage

What's the fucking point, seriously

Jürgen Klopp called Gabriel Martinelli a "talent of the century" and some of you forgot that all too quickly

Manchester City and Paris Saint-German both wearing fourth kits against each other
