Three and a half hours now, and still they come! #HandsOff #HandsoffNY #Resist #NYC

Something calming to escape the madness. A roll cloud (volutus) at RSPB Bempton Cliffs. #RSPBBemptonCliffs #rollcloud #volutus #serenesky #BemptonCliffs #chalkcliffs

The beauty of a male red-winged blackbird often gets overlooked, as they are seen as common. I'm filled with joy when I see one. Those striking epaulettes, wow! I love their calls too - always reminds me of spring. #InternationalBirdDay #BirdoftheDay #blackbird #redwing #birdlife #soakupthesun

Spring has sprung in Malmo, Sweden. #spring #springbulbs #signsofsprinh #Malmo #Sweden

Appeal Court *very slightly* reduces sentences on some of the 16 peaceful climate protesters, jailed for total of 41 years. This isn’t justice. People desperate for climate action to save lives treated like organised criminals, while big oil & gas get away with ecocide @defendourjuries.bsky.social

Trying to find ways to distract myself from the news and I came across this time-lapse video from a snowstorm a few years back. Sadly my battery died and so I didn't record the full amount, but the snow continued until the next day. #distraction #timelapse #snowstorm

Keep the faith! The National Parks Preserve All Life. #AltNationalParks #NationalParks #Resist #Thislandismylandthislandisyourland

All art fails when trying to capture the Grand Canyon and there are simply no words to describe it. A visceral experienced, once encountered, it is never forgotten. #NationalParks #AltNationalParks #GrandCanyon #Resist #Publiclands #Thislandismylandthislandisyourland

It’s the hungry season and here’s the first coyote I’ve ever caught on camera. We had rain a few days ago that then froze on top of snow. Listen to the ice cracking as the coyotes paws fall through to the snow below. #coyote #winterwildlife #trailcam

Cary senior scientist Richard Ostfeld in @gristnews.bsky.social “Somehow science and scientists, information and facts, are perceived as the enemy. The casualties of all this, in addition to the scientists, are the American people.” grist.org/science/trum...

Brilliant campaigning from @wwtworldwide.bsky.social ft Megan McCubbin in spoof video at the Duck & Cover restaurant. The use of humour as a campaign tool shouldn't be underestimated. #BanLead #Ornithology raptorpersecutionuk.org/2025/02/11/t...

Our hardy red fox friend was the only one to brave the snow storm last night 🦊 #foxoftheday #fox #redfox #snowfox #foxlove #foxfriend

The frozen Hudson or Muhheakanruck/Mahicantuck as the estuary was originally known along this stretch - "river that flows two ways" #muhheakantuck #mahicantuck #hudsonriver #frozenwater #riverinwinter #riverthatflowstwoways #riverscape #estuary

On this World Wetlands Day, I'm thinking of warmer months when the little piece of heaven that I am protecting is in all its glory #worldwetlandsday2025 #wetlands

Timelapse of a snow storm - till the battery ran out ❄️

Did you know blue pigment is quite rare in nature? Although my jay friend here this morning appears to have blue feathers, the melanin in them is actually brown. We perceive it as blue because of a phenomenon called light scattering. Light scattering is similar to the effects of a prism.🪶
