Mixed feelings looking at my #MiniBieb this morning. Suddenly several books have gone at the same time. That should be fun, but I suspect a single person took them all. Dit is een slecht argument om 'groter als' te veroordelen. Ook een zin als 'De Ministerpresident werkt even hard als Sinterklaas’ kun je namelijk lezen als ‘wanneer de Ministerpresident Sinterklaas is’, en dan is 'als' juist wél goed. Stukje willekeur. #taal #Nederlands #LangSky

Na meer dan tien jaar samen wetenschapscommunicatie te hebben gedaan, sprak ik eindelijk een keer met @strr.bsky.social af op een (virtueel) parkeerterrein. We gingen daarna naar een (virtueel) strand, volgens mij ook een primeurtje.

Ik heb flink wat onderzoek gedaan naar en gelezen over groter ‘als/dan’, maar ken geen studies over de verwerving ervan. Mijn proefpersoon (2,5 jaar oud) gebruikt uitsluitend ‘groter als’, ondanks vrijwel exclusieve blootstelling aan ‘groter dan’. Fascinerend! #taal #LangSky 🐦🐦
