After he planted the big hyacinth flower, and installed the gutter diverter, middle son grilled kababs. All of them had chicken, and I had shrimp. It was served over buttered egg noodles, and crescent rolls on the side. OMG, so good!

Middle son came over, and dug a hole to plant a blue hyacinth for me. It’s beautiful! We laid down some mulch in the bed earlier this spring, but the gutter drainage was washing it out at the bottom of the gutter spout, so we got a diverter/diffuser, and he also installed that.(see part 2)

HyVee, the local grocery store, had a meat sale, and I picked up these thick sirloin steaks. Fixed some mashed potatoes and heated up the leftover baked beans from the other day. I needed this after the rough week we’ve had. Protein is good!

I’m not extremely superstitious, I think black cats are cute, and if the seven years of bad luck for breaking a mirror was true, I’d be unlucky until year 3000 A.D. But the number 13 does send a wee chill down my spine.
