I only wish the raging wild spirit of my late father could be unleashed in the WH for just ten minutes 🍊 Knowing what Dad taught me of his WW2 experiences, I see clearly there is now no *USA/UK special relationship* 💔 Times almost too dark for his light. But a light he remains. Thankful always xxx

#BigGardenBirdwatch 🪶 Forgive Phil, he’s a good cleaner-upper of seed that falls from garden feeders. Phil was’t included in our count today - he was too early. Really enjoyed counting 2️⃣8️⃣ birds 🕊️🦚🦜🐦‍⬛🪿🦆✅

What’s your favourite garden bird? 🧵 This weekend, hundreds of thousands of people across the UK will take part in the @rspb.bsky.social #BigGardenBirdwatch, the world’s largest garden wildlife survey. 🐦‍⬛ Wren on corn stook, colour woodblock print, Takeuchi Seihō (1864–1942)
