I am hiring: PhD students, postdocs, admin personnel. Email me if you know somebody that may be interested in joining us in Cologne! πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡ Please RT for reach! πŸ™πŸ™

Large piece in Dutch newspaper on use of Brainmarker-I (alpha frequency based EEG biomarker) in clinical practice. Congrats Nikita van der Vinne and Synaeda www.volkskrant.nl/wetenschap/e...

Deadline is tomorrow! quick quick, last chance!

New landmark TMS trial dropped by Jonathan Downar's team, which will revolutionize care for depression even more than the SAINT trial did – extensive (10 hour!) sessions of TMS in a single day, enhanced by single dose of cycloserine. 90% response, 70% remission! www.researchgate.net/publication/...

TMS is cost-effective for treatment resistant depression relative to the next pharmacological treatment step. doi.org/10.1111/acps... Congrats Iris Dalhuisen and colleagues.

Reading this study by Danielle Wallace about daily light exposure - men see 50% more (!) bright light (time outdoors) than women. Most of the difference is due to workday (men in blue-collar trades), but some is due to free time. If it's only certain worker populations, may not be true for everyone.

Got a great EEG biomarker? Come and validate it on our TDBRAIN database and take part in the TDBRAIN Challenge! See the results so far here... Replication is not easy... www.brainclinics.com/research/art...

Is it possible to help a billion depression patients with brain stimulation? Jonathon Downar says yes, but only if we follow the example of SpaceX and simplify the process. Great talk by @braincircuits.bsky.social

Using EEG to predict treatment response or diagnostic status? Use our large open-access TDBRAIN database including N>1200 and rich phenotype data to replicate and out-of-sample replicate. www.nature.com/articles/s41...

Can confirm that Altmetric is indexing @bsky.app Great progress and all-the-more reason to leave the bird...

Biomarker-driven stratified psychiatry: from stepped-care to matched-care in mental health nature.com/articles/s44... First stratification biomarker that helps stratify between antidepressant treatments, taking TRD-level into account. A major step forward...

Where AI meets EEG biomarkers doi.org/10.1016/j.bp... Here we used AI/DL trained on beta spindling and could demonstrate this hypoarousal EEG signature is caused by sleep maintenance problems and is specifically linked to impulse control problems independent of DSM5 diagnosis.

Inspired by @ariellekeller.bsky.social and created a Starter Pack for those who zap brains! ⚑Let me know if you'd like to be added! go.bsky.app/9MnSuJ6

I thought it could be nice to connect the community of researchers exploring body-brain interactions on bsky, so here is the Body-Brain Interactions Starter Pack! πŸ«€πŸ«πŸ‘€πŸ§  #neuroskyence #academicsky Let me know if you would like to be added or know someone to add. Enjoy and share! go.bsky.app/Fwqeu32

I love an excuse to re-listen to John Rothwell and Anthony Barker talking about the invention of TMS - www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DI3...

Following the trend, here's a starter pack of EEG researchers: go.bsky.app/H2URVjv. Let me know if you'd like to be added or removed. The list is very partial and still needs to be expanded, but I hope you find it helpful! 🧠 #EEG #neuroscience #neuroskyence

Presenting tomorrow: EEG Based Stratified Psychiatry in MDD Includes TMS stratification marker, that helps stratify between 18Hz, 10Hz and 1Hz TMS! Thursday Nov 12th: 12-1PM Pacific or 21:00 hrs Central European Time. Sign-up for free: www.schoolofneurotherapy.com/offers/4wPjX... CU There?
