I'm surprised the cross she wears around her neck hasn't ignited. Pure bloody minded evil.

I turned on #R4Today yesterday. Lasted for all of 5 minutes before the iPad was in serious danger of being hurled out of the bedroom window. Sadly I no longer think this is naivety. This normalisation of Trump's lunacy is by design.

15/16 Starmer can no longer navigate a tightrope between Europe and the USA, something he's managed to do quite well so far, but that will become increasingly difficult as Trump becomes more deranged, more authoritarian, and draws ever closer to russia. www.theguardian.com/commentisfr...

So stay steady. Don’t lose faith in the Constitution. Americans have always found a way to fix things—even when our government tries to ignore the very laws it swears to uphold. Remember: when tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty.

Of course they want to drive a wedge between us! Farage's wet dream of world domination for the last decade. Starmer has to stop worrying about the threat from the right and treat them as the pathetic fantasists they really are. Trump and Vance have outed Farage and his arseholery for all to see.

“Starmer has repeatedly insisted he does not have to choose between the EU and the US over trade” But undermining our reset with the EU to please Trump is just not a risk worth taking. As things stand, Starmer is wrong. He must choose. And he must choose Europe. liveapp.inews.co.uk/category/364...

I just listened to that and turned it off. The BBC coverage of the news these days is farcical.

It’s a pathetic position for sure.

True! Brexit has clearly shown that we NEVER LOST our sovereignty in the EU. We were always free to leave and make our own way. So the main argument for Brexit is gone. It's now time to admit that Brexit doesn't work and to accept that we're stronger with the ENHANCED SOVEREIGNTY of EU membership.

The referendum was compromised by external sources and dodgy Tories. The result is questionable and the deal was badly negotiated. Rejoin!

I simply don't get why Starmer is being so obstinate about this. He's an intelligent man. Surely he can see how much harm brexshit has done/is doing to the UK. He's in serious danger of being a one-term PM - unless he sees sense.

Exactly. The Trump regime are desperate to keep the UK onside. Sadly as desperate as Starmer is for a trade deal. It’s a joke, we all know what has to happen. You can’t pander to the whims of a madman. It doesn’t work.
