saving stuff from my Switch photo album in preparation for Switch 2 and being reminded how my Thousand Year Door remake playthrough ended with a bucket landing the killing blow on the Shadow Queen 😭

"Biden was old but governed normally. Trump governs erratically *because* he’s unglued. That’s the true cover-up, one the media is enabling when they seem more concerned with the mental condition of a former president than the escalating madness of the current one."

seriously, I know this is a crazy radical idea in these extremely normal times but what if democrats stopped voting for trump nominees

Prayers Up is a line used by many of the Christian faith, but specifically pratt is a celebrity tied to the whack prayer app Hallow that likes to use it So fuck him

Read this whole thread. Consumer-facing LLMs and generative "A.i." are destroying the ethics and brains of our entire society. Shame on any educational institution that accommodates this trash.

More of this, please.

Following up: while Jonathan Joss complained about years of homophobic abuse from his neighbors and his husband wrote that the murderer was screaming homophobic epithets, the San Antonio police says there’s “no evidence” of a hate crime. This is why so many queer folks don’t like cops at Pride.

The New Slogan: It's not weird, it's white supremacy.

beware the spider-woman

Pride Parade on Danny the Street, when?! 😍 Shoutout to Andrew Drilon for the incredible custom artwork, illustrating the community and love that go hand in hand with Pride!

The heartbreaking statement from Jonathan Joss’s husband about his death.

Mutant Monday No. 68: Shela Sexton, aka Escapade Art by Sam Johnstone Happy Pride Month!

Holy shit this is horrible and heartbreaking.

A French film swept Japan in the '50s — and its impact on Japanese animation was immense. Among its fans were Hayao Miyazaki, Isao Takahata and their co-workers at Toei Doga. We explore how they saw it, why they loved it and what they learned: animationobsessive.substack.com/p/the-french...

guys we HAVE to get rid of DEI. it’s about FAIRNESS

As others are no doubt pointing out, the most infuriating and insulting thing about it is "I thought it was AI, it's a style it could do" is because it's a PLAGIARISM MACHINE and it STOLE the style of real working artists who have been developing their skills and signature look for YEARS >:(

Happy Pride Month

By special honorable request, I present here a list of trans/NB/Genderfluid DC Comics characters, and the best places to find them. Thanks to @gillandria.bsky.social for the suggestion. 🧵

How it started : How it’s going

Yes, you did vote to deport moms.

every article about politics in every mainstream publication is flat out lying to you if it does not emphasize that our government has been taken over by freaks and lunatics

Must read piece by @marisakabas.bsky.social on the reorganization of the State Dept to align with and enforce "remigration," which put simply means getting rid of anyone Black, Brown, Asian, or other non-white populations and almost certainly Jews writ large. www.thehandbasket.co/p/state-depa...

Listen, as long as you do what Dear Leader wants, you’ll be fine. Nevermind that he’s famously mercurial, corrupt, intellectually incurious and this idea itself is fundamentally at odds with how higher ed should work. Just do what they say and nobody will get hurt. They promise.

Emerging from Yesterday's chat: "Hickman does Friends."

Excited to launch my first ever MINI PRINT CLUB! Starting with this new Supergirl Batgirl illustration right here. ❤️

Bluesky is just a better platform, even as a publisher. BSky is now Unseen Japan's top social source of traffic. Twitter has totally bottomed out in referrals to our website b/c it's both hostile to publishers & populated mostly by the scum of the earth.

We now live in a country where the President can personally threaten a 16-year-old girl in the morning and by the afternoon a Democratic state will agree to target and segregate her from her peers for the crime of being transgender.

Samurai Jack is a show that takes the concept of “show, don’t tell” in story writing to such an extreme yet artistically fresh and beautiful level. The show told novels worth of details through detailed visuals and saving dialogue for when absolutely necessary… unless the Scotsman was on screen ❤️

You really don’t need to make this a bigger deal than it actually is. “Traitor” is a new four-page comic written by me with art by @comicnerdsam.bsky.social. Here it is:

this entire paragraph is Stephen Pinker openly saying, "I think race science is real and correct."

We love to see it.

Highly recommended thread, both for the run-down of Olmert's op-ed and for the excellent points Marks makes following it.

Get out of my head! Yes!

Advocates of higher ed did heroic work rallying against this monstrous bill, but its passage was probably preordained. It's custom-made for today's Republican Party. It centralizes power in the executive; undermines education and critical thinking; censors speech; and attacks imaginary wokeness.

Medicare for All isn't radical. What's radical is that we are the only major country not to guarantee health care as a human right. Don’t believe me? Listen to what these nurses have say:

“DK… You’re not suppose to name it. Once you name it, you start getting attached to it!”

she doesnt give a shit

they always stood for control. it is just that in the past their control was done outside of the government. it was done through banning certain people from polite society. the reason they stood for "small government" (1960-2016) was the government was forcibly breaking up their control.
