Older people in the US using Medicare who could have accessed care at home for consultations that didn’t need a physical exam will now need to go to medical offices. The mobility issues and $ for these folks…. At the end of the day, there will be less care provided which, I suppose, was the intent

A new study in PNAS (N>20k) confirms women’s pain is taken less seriously than that of men, with women being less likely to receive pain meds and waiting 30 minutes longer to be seen in the ED. Sadly, the same reasons we treat women poorly in our society translate to how we treat women patients.
