A lot of traders overlook the value of a stop loss and how much it can protect you from digging yourself into a deeper hole than you normallly would If you don’t have a stop loss BEFORE entering the play you will be way more prone to getting attached to that trade emotionally and bag holding.

Took 2 trades to the downside on $SPX today Entry in this one was at 9:55 with exits at 10:06, 10:07 and 10:12 I exited 90% at 10:07 because ES was approaching a key trendline to the downside and ended up holding there for pretty much the rest of the day
