I've already put close to 20 hours into Yarrrkuza, and I think I've MAYBE put close to 4 of those into actual story. There's so much side content that gives you insane upgrades that I can't stop doing all of it. Also I have an insane urge to collect all the treasures.

LaD Gaiden and Infinite Wealth were good games that I definitely loved (especially the end of both, like holy shit), but Pirate Yakuza has a spark of something that really elevates it to new heights for me. There's just something about how it's even more unafraid to be goofy than ever that sells it.

My buddy @tgcr.bsky.social showed me this. Good lord Xenoblade X is looking like it's aiming for fixing as many major complaints as possible. Obviously there's going to be some baked-in things they can't fix (the game was never gonna be perfect) but boy this is looking mighty fine for a remaster.

Just found out I've crossed the 200 mark for switch games between my physical and digital purchases. If anyone wonders why I'm so vocally relieved they announced backwards compatibility for the Switch 2, that's a large contributing factor.

Man, I rewatched the last chapter's worth of cutscenes for Xenoblade 3 again and I still think it's got some of the best writing in an RPG. Very few RPGs get me invested in basically every character it introduces, and 3 introduces a LOT of them. I hope Monolith is working on the next one already.

Related to my previous post: I've been re-reading the Septimus Heap series and I'm almost done with the final book. I read them in high school first, though I only got to book 6 because the final book released when I started college and I had no money. Honestly still great books to this day.

Legitimately kinda pissed because the hardcover book I received (marked "Like New" when I bought it online) was not only an old school library copy with tape placed directly onto both the book itself and the paper cover, but also the spine was basically snapped in half with signs of rips everywhere.
