I rolled credits on Monster Hunter Wilds in ~25 hours. As a newcomer to the series I found the controls, menus, and inventory system to be unintuitive and archaic. It’s a game designed in another era and periodically iterated upon. You wouldn’t design a game like this from scratch in 2025.

At 30 hours I’m not quite done with Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, but I’m really enjoying it. It’s funny, it’s heartfelt, it’s stupid in all the right ways, and I can’t stop smiling while I’m playing it. It’s a good entry point into the series and a fraction as long as Infinite Wealth.

Got to the end boss of the Elden Ring Nightreign network test and for some reason I couldn’t see or damage or take damage from the boss. Looked to me like my party members were swinging at nothing. I at least got in a dozen or so revives before my party members quit. 🤷‍♂️
