A few years, a decade at most. Low earth orbits degrade relatively quickly.

It's fixed now. For anyone watching, the solution was to go to the homepage (NOT the settings page), do a hard reload (i.e. shift F5 or hold shift and press reload) and then redo the domain verification.

I feel like it’s just really hard to differentiate a DDoS from just a huge amount of people using the app.

They don’t even seem to be saying that DeepSeek is stealing IP. I’m not even sure they violated ToS. They’re just saying that they used the OpenAI APIs as part of the training process.

Yep I deactivated my account yesterday. I had hardly used it lately but nowadays I just don’t want to be associated with it at all, even if it’s just an unused account.

Listening to it now. The CSRB being gutted is such a pity. I was holding it up as a "see this is an example of getting better as an industry. It's a sign of maturity!" Now it's likely just gone. Probably won't even see a Salt Typhoon report.

Good luck! That must have taken some skill to achieve (and a lot of work to get out of!)

Definitely now have to add Labuschagne to that list!

So many people say to me “you’ve got a services company, you should release a product” as if what that product actually is is completely irrelevant and all we have to do is decide “we’re going to release a product now!”

I had the same trying TikTok. The app tried to force feed me weird American right wing grifters until I went “this app isn’t for me!”

Looks great! Nice and simple, but has everything it needs. Plus there's the new spinning logo!

Really the murderous psychopath is a romantic soul at heart.

Bitcoin hasn’t survived through a proper financial crisis at anywhere near current prices yet though. If people start having to sell to pay for other needs, will that begin a vicious cycle? If the thing keeping the value high is people thinking it’s valuable, what happens if that impression goes?

Definitely the second one. A report where you have to justify why you didn't find loads of stuff is the worst!

A bit of me goes "I wonder if someone could register a domain similar to someone's name and attach it to a Bluesky account for fake verified phishing?"

"No one is there just to give you money". It's something I have to repeat when talking about running a company. Leaders are so often just focused on the objective of making money that they forget they're there to help their customers - making money is a side effect of that.

It's fine - just close your eyes and pretend it's Linux!

The new Mac minis are pretty good bang for buck in terms of running LLMs.

Lots of RAM and a separate GPU if you can afford the space. I’d target a specific model (say Llama 70b) and figure out system requirements from there.

I can’t imagine the mix of panic and excitement that must come with suddenly having a few new users.

I think Blue Sky has only just started to get to “maturing website” status. Good timing for them though!
