For all of the bluster and lies from DOGE re: efficiency and layoffs as a way to save money, the layoffs — I bet you — are only temporary. They’re being done so Trump can replace people with loyalists. And in the scheme of things, personnel is only a small part of the federal gov’t’s budget.
