In general, do you prefer solitude or being with people? I'm happier with people. Solitude can be really tough for me.

I made a sketchbook comic about Instagram. I'm not closing my account (yet) but I might delete the app, and I'm definitely stepping away for a bit. Honestly, and this is a bit embarrassing because I always thought I was stronger, the app is not good for my mental health.

Today, Friday February 21, is National Caregivers Day. I have Parkinson's Disease and while I am still largely independent and self-sufficient, I still need help...emotionally, mentally, and physically. Ione Damasco, my best friend for nearly 30 years and my spouse for 24, has been present and...

My drawing of the In-Betweener, from Marvel Comics, next to how he looks in the comic. The In-Betweener is a cosmic entity who represents duality and serves fellow conceptual beings Master Order and Lord Chaos, although his loyalty is usually to himself rather than to them.

"Kilroy Was Here" may have been a shit album, but "Mr. Roboto" still rules (despite a bizarrely racist video).

My drawing of everyone's favorite cosmic superhero, Marvel's own Quasar! People love good old Wendell Vaughn!

My drawing of Morg the Executioner next to how he looks in the Marvel Comics. Morg is another one of the Heralds of Galactus. I don't know much about him, but he has a big axe and seems very angry.

My redrawn version of Marvel Comics character Gabriel the Air-Walker. Gabriel was a Xandarian and became a Herald of Galactus after the Silver Surfer. On the right is how Gabriel looks in the comics.

Turns out I enjoy reimagining cosmic Marvel characters. Here is my drawing of the Fallen One, the first Herald of Galactus, next to how he looks in the comics. Not much to go on, but I like mine!

Absolutely delighted to see my art in a new home!

A 5x7 watercolor titled "Ant Bus." I like to think that this is how the ants get to work.

Great art from a great artist!

Another small, 5x7 inch watercolor of Snake. This one is called "Sleepytime."

Today, I drew this snake in my sketchbook. The snake needs a name. Please suggest one.

Thanks to @seanmcgurr.bsky.social for reminding me that the great Zach Cherry is the true star of "Severance."

Three from my "Year of the Snake" sketchbook... rainbow snake, snake in the grass, and Eve takes the Serpent for a walk.

I'll probably never have a post as popular as my last one, but who cares? Here's a new 5x7 watercolor I made today, titled "Snake and Buddies." My partner and I love it, so we decided to keep it.

I've been thinking a lot about comics lately and the craft and calling of making them. So I wrote myself a comics manifesto. Please comment, share, steal, or disregard.

Your Sunday message.

So this might be good news to some of you. I've been wanting to print a zine of my earliest, pre-Spudd 64 comics but I don't have any of the original art. I decided to redraw them with minor changes to fit the format of the zine. Here's a work-in-progress shot of my third story, "Pilgrim."

The restaurant chain known as Frisch's has three signature burgers - the Big Boy, the Brawny Lad, and the Large Adolescent Male.
