I recently signed Senate Bill 69 — banning Red Dye 40 from school meals in Delaware — because our kids deserve better. Let’s give our students food that fuels their bodies and their brains. 🧠🍎📚

I'm willing to work with this White House to deliver for Delaware. But the big, bad budget bill does exactly the opposite.

My full statement on House Republicans' passage of the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act."

Lauren and I are heartbroken by the tragic shooting in Washington, D.C. last night. May the memories of Sarah and Yaron be a blessing.

This bill is about personal freedom and keeping government out of deeply personal medical decisions that should be left up to families. The End-of-Life Options Act gives terminally ill patients the power of choice. www.wboc.com/news/delawar...

The GOP's bad budget bill will hit our hospitals like an earthquake. Insured or not, people still need care and our hospitals will provide it. But the costs of doing so will cripple the system. youtube.com/shorts/E219H...

The End-of-Life Options Act is now law in Delaware, giving terminally ill residents the choice to end their lives with dignity. With strong safeguards and years of advocacy, this marks a historic and compassionate step forward. Thank you to all who made it possible.

Thousands of Pennsylvanians and Delawareans rely on @septa-social.bsky.social to get to work and school. Amid potential service cuts, I’m asking SEPTA to think twice about abandoning commuters.

I just swore in Jameson Tweedie as Delaware's Public Advocate. On behalf of working families and small businesses, he'll be a tireless advocate for equity, reliability, and transparency from energy providers.

Had so much fun leading the Governor’s Ride as part of Wilmington Grand Prix weekend. Rode with 500 folks from across Delaware and beyond. Great weather, great people, and a strong sense of community every mile of the way. Get outside if you can! 🚴⛅️

President Biden is one of the toughest people I know. Lauren and I are thinking of him, Dr. Biden, and the entire Biden family as they face this next chapter. The people of Delaware stand with you, now and always.

Haitian Flag Day is a time to honor the vibrant Haitian community here in Delaware. Your strength, culture, and unity inspire me. L’union fait la force! I’m proud to celebrate with you and grateful for all you bring to our state. #haitianflagday

Brown v. Board of Education was a turning point in our fight for justice—and Delaware was one of five states at the heart of the case. Honoring that legacy means more than remembrance. It means action to ensure equal opportunity for every student.

This week’s Meyer Minute is personal. I discuss AmeriCorps, the program that gave me my start in public service and is now facing massive federal cuts, threatening vital services across Delaware. Watch the video to learn about how we’re fighting back. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePZo...

Pride isn’t a product, it’s a movement. LGBTQ+ rights must be supported 365 days a year — not just by slapping a flag on a t-shirt in June. Thanks to @washingtonblue.bsky.social for the invite to their annual Summer Kickoff Party in Rehoboth, where we’re celebrating #Pride with purpose.

DE Bond Rating > USA Bond Rating. 25 years of Triple-A bond ratings = a state where people and businesses flourish

It's National Police Week, when we honor and remember fallen law enforcement officers while supporting survivors. Thank you to all of the brave troopers and officers protecting our state and our nation.

"We will make sure if the fed says no, we will say yes." Yes to teaching kids how to read Yes to helping adults find jobs And yes to delivering food to families in need. Delaware supports, and will fight for, @americorps.bsky.social. www.delawarepublic.org/news/2025-05...

Today I joined @coons.senate.gov and others to oppose the Trump admin’s plan to gut AmeriCorps. These cuts hurt education, disaster response, and social services. Delaware will keep programs funded through this fiscal year—and we’ll do all we can beyond that.

Healthy food leads to healthy people. Our new Food is Medicine Committee will help people access nutritious meals and fresh fruits and vegetables so they can stay healthy and happy. www.wdel.com/news/gov-mey...

Happy Mother's Day, Delaware! Being a mom is the hardest job in the world, and I want to thank every mother and mother-figure who puts their family's needs before their own every day.

It's Teacher Appreciation Week! And we're working hard to support educators in ways that make a real difference. Check out our latest episode of the Meyer Minute and then be sure to sign up for our newsletter here: governor.delaware.gov/subscribe-fo...

Our economy is the engine driving Delaware forward. During our first 💯 days, we’ve laid the groundwork to unlock capital for small businesses, streamline workforce training, and implement our state’s legal cannabis market.

"The community, the county, the state, we’re here together saying that there is now a rebirth of this shopping center and there’s a rebirth of the Seaford community." www.wmdt.com/2025/05/comm...

Protecting our environment isn’t just about preserving nature, it’s about making sure families and farmers can thrive. We’ve spent 💯 days working to lower energy costs and hold utility companies accountable, while strengthening our state’s top industry, agriculture.

Congratulations to Pope Leo XIV, the first American-born pontiff in history. On behalf of all Delawareans, may your papacy be one of unity, compassion, and understanding. And in the words of St. Augustine, "Love, and do what you like."

Whew! 30 miles was a lot but I'm ready for 30 more! I had a great time at the 2025 Legislative Bike Ride from Middletown to Dover. Thank you Sen. Sokola, DelDOT, @bikede.bsky.social, and others for making today's event a success. We all benefit from cleaner air and safer streets.

Delaware’s government should be working for Delawareans. With so much federal uncertainty and instability, we spent my first 💯 days focused on making our state government efficient, transparent, and effective.

This National Nurses Week, I was proud to sign a proclamation honoring the incredible work nurses do every day. As the husband of an ER doctor, I’ve seen firsthand the dedication, compassion, and strength nurses bring to their patients and communities. Thank you for all you do.

During National Correctional Officers & Employees Week, we honor the brave officers who gave their lives in service to Delaware. We remember their duty, dedication, and belief in justice. And thank you to Delaware C.O.P.S. for supporting surviving families.

We can make Delaware a safer place for all by fostering collaboration and focusing on prevention. This new office aims to coordinate efforts among state agencies, law enforcement, and community organizations to address gun violence comprehensively. www.delawarepublic.org/politics-gov...

Today, I met with Central Delaware's top entrepreneurs — the 2025 Excellence in Business Award nominees and leaders from the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce. These entrepreneurs represent the heart of our economy—driving innovation and strengthening communities.

Proud to celebrate Public Service Recognition Week and honor this year’s winners of the Delaware Award for Excellence in State Service! Public service may not always make headlines, but it changes lives. To every state employee: thank you for your commitment to excellence.

I enjoyed speaking to a room of DSCYF staff, behavioral health professionals, partners, and community members about preventing young Delawareans from misusing substances. Our children represent the future of our state — it's up to all of us to keep them healthy and safe.

Welcome home to the 261st Theater Tactical Signal Brigade! After nine months providing critical communications support on two operations, these brave soldiers, led by LTC Aaron Black II and SGM Douglas Neal, return with honor. Thank you for your unwavering service and sacrifice.

On my 100th day in office, I signed an executive order creating the Delaware Office of Gun Violence Prevention and Community Safety. Too many lives have been lost to gun violence. Together, we can end this public health crisis and build a safer future for everyone. www.wmdt.com/2025/05/gov-...

Every Delawarean deserves a roof over their head. 💯 days in, we’re fast-tracking the permitting process for affordable housing while working to reduce homelessness in every community.

Served up some smiles yesterday at the 37th annual 'Tennis in the Streets' in Wilmington. Getting active and staying fit are critical to youth development. I appreciate the City of Wilmington Department of Parks and Recreation for helping make this day a success.
