The fuse system in TotK is sorta just a gimmicky craft mechanic, but aspects of it should remain in future Zelda games.
Eg, I would like to be able to buy fire arrows, but I'd still like to be able to use fire fruit to make fire arrows. Or put a ruby on a magic rod to make a fire rod.

Aerocudas could have been such a cool enemy in TotK. Like, flying frog bats! But then they gave them all basically no hp.

Ok so, the lack of Sheikah tech with no explanation is still really annoying.
They should've just said gloom from the upheaval destroyed it all. That'd make things feel even more dire.
(...and maybe have chasms where the Divine Beasts were, and let us explore their destroyed remains...)

The Construct talking about the Temple of Time with basically the exact words the old man used in BotW is funny.
The Great Sky Island being a repeat of the Great Plateau is less funny.

I like Zelda mentioning the Calamity as you go down in the tunnels at the start of the game. It acts as a good connection to Breath of the Wild.
I don't like Zelda ignoring the existence of the Sheikah Slate when she talks about how useful the Purah Pad is.

Look, you're not wrong. But you can still work out the vote across the entire region, as well as just in the areas they ran.
If nothing else, it could be fun to know how many wards were or weren't run in, in say, ~Northern Metro.
