Left: Canada election chances. Right: Australian election chances. I’d like to think the US administration for spreading liberal democracy around the world.

Caught up on Last Of Us. It's been great so far, but I still feel like they made a major mistake in revealing Abby's motivations immediately. I think the story works monumentally better by withholding that information, but I'll wait and see how they handle the rest of it. Bella Ramsey incredible.

I've always preferred the more ambitious, conceptual NIN albums but With Teeth has always been a great collection of songs, and his most live band-driven recording. Sunspots and Right Where It Belongs are all-timers. Followed by my favourite NIN record, the ever-prescient Year Zero. Happy 20th.

Heard about an Amazon Prime show pushing to pull back on local industry standard pay for leads and for kit rentals. Amazon. As if they can't afford it. I think they think people in the industry are desperate after the strike. I hope nobody accepts this. Would set a terrible precedent.

Lol

Incredible how identical the Canadian & Australian elections have been. Centre-left government. Centre-right party has a huge lead in the polls, lead by a Trumpian populist. Trump is re-elected. Polling shows an incredible flip. Centre-right party loses. & their leader loses his own seat!

Putting it out there that there is no greater piece of sushi than a toro aburi nigiri (torched tuna belly) The fat in the tuna melts like butter. Just exceptional every time.

Just had a look at the r/Alberta subreddit and so pleased to see it's full of frustrated, reasonable people pushing back against Smith and all the separatist bullshit

"If you or any other Canadians are not happy living on Treaty lands, they are free to apply for citizenship elsewhere." Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation issues a scathing rebuke of Danielle Smith's talks on a national unity crisis.

I see some folks in Alberta are having their usual temper tantrum. Imagine if the rest of us threatened to leave the country whenever we got an election result we didn't like. Every fucking time with these people.

Having lived in Wellington for twenty years, you know it's going to be pretty fucking bad when they actually start warning you about the wind. Stay safe everyone.

An old coworker from Alberta is Posting Through It on Facebook. After spending the last year demanding an election he's now fuming at all of Canada and threatening Alberta separation. Also telling us we voted for more crime. (criminals famously await election results before choosing to do crime)

Everyone watching Pierre Poilievre eat absolute shit in Carleton and respecting Canada's bilingual culture.

Me seeing the news that Poilievre has officially lost his own seat he's held for twenty years

TFW when you lead the Official Opposition but lost your seat in the House of Commons.

Woke up to a double hit of good news. In my riding, the Conservative dropped from first to third as the count concluded. And in the funniest possible news: Pierre Poilievre lost his own seat! Lmfao

Between Poilievre and Kevin Falcon, it's been a good year for watching Conservatives utterly fuck it

I extremely rarely have to hand it to America, you but you have to hand it to America that Canada was like "absolutely not we are not doing any of that fuck shit"

Breaking News: Canada’s Liberal Party is projected to win, electing Mark Carney, who ran on an anti-Trump platform, as prime minister. nyti.ms/4308UmS

The illusion of the Conservatives doing unexpectedly well from early in the results makes it even better. Poilievre might have gotten a little excited, only to have the rug pulled. I needed this.

Pierre Poilievre just fucking lost. LET'S DO SHOTS.

Well done, Canada.

Watching the election and drinking strong Belgian style beer (made in Canada) It's a good combo.

It's election day in Canada, and I know some people are pretty apathetic about voting. But today is a rare opportunity to make Pierre Poilievre—who is, by all reports, a giant asshole on every single level—profoundly unhappy. How often in life do you get the chance to make a shitweasel bully cry?

Today's the day! Regardless of whether or not you share my views, I hope Canadians vote. Given what is at stake a high voter turnout would send a powerful message. Democracy is a privilege and not a given. Use it.

Peak Canada

It’s been some dark days of late. Nothing is more hopeful and optimistic than voting. You have until 7:00pm. Go get ‘em #NewWest

Ordered a belt from Popov Leather - made to order in Nelson BC, and love it. Great craftsmanship, made to last.

The blessed child.

If PP ekes out a win, polling in Canada is broken. I'm hopeful he loses, but I won't trust it until we start getting real results tomorrow.

Canada- this guy sucks. There are Conservative politicians who I disagree with on policy but can respect as people. But this guy? A smug, sneering bully. An attack dog that has the pent up insecure energy of an angry chihuahua. He’s like some obnoxious villain in an 80s comedy set at a ski resort.

Started season 2 of The Last Of Us. Excellent first episode. Though I do disagree so far with the choice to reveal Abby's motivations right off the bat. Curious to see how they pay that off vs how it was handled (brilliantly) in the game.

11 dead. Dozens more injured, many of them terribly so. Just unspeakably awful. I have friends from the Filipino community who had been there. They're all safe.
