Five Oscar nominations and a spot on Nixon's enemies list are pretty awesome. But at the end of the day, it's the work. Those indelible performances. #GeneHackman #filmsky

I think "Eat the rich!", but then I look at Musk and think "Ew!".

Heh heh. #resist www.nytimes.com/2025/02/25/t...

My unassuming little window ledge cactus has suddenly decided to express itself again. 🌱

On the anniversary of Russia's latest invasion of Ukraine, here's a photo of my great-grandparents. He was from near Moscow, she was from Kyiv. That these peoples should now be at war is a tragedy. That Putin and his enablers, including Trump, should be so monstrous is inexcusable. #SlavaUkraini

I'm drawing inspiration from this 1941 news photo of people scaling the outside of 26 O'Farrell Street in San Francisco to tear down the Nazi flag outside what was then the German consulate. #SanFrancisco #resist

"Oh, what can you say at the end of the day? Was the plot so sound or the lines profound? Was there rather less grain than chaff? Oh, what can you say at the end of the day? You can say you made them laugh." -Kenneth Williams, born 99 years ago today. #FilmSky #LGBTQ

Years ago, I watched a documentary called "Born Rich", in which children of great wealth were asked how they felt about their privilege. I thought the 21-year-old Ivanka Trump actually seemed pretty decent, like she might break free of all the corrosive entitlement around her. Oh, well. #FilmSky

I love the acknowledgement here that thoughtful curation can be at least as important to building a great collection as having the money to buy a bunch of stuff.

Remember when Musk and Zuckerberg were challenging each other to a cage fight? Can that still happen? Please?

Not my President. Neither is Trump.

Chinese New Year Parade, with my pal Brad. #SanFrancisco

Overheard some little old ladies in the library this afternoon discussing the current political situation, until one of them blurted out "Maybe they'll find somebody with better aim." That brought the conversation to an awkward halt. But I didn't hear anybody disagree with her.

As Trump takes over the Kennedy Center while decrying "woke" art, and the Muskovites remove LGBTQ history from the web, I thought I'd share some photos of me in recent years playing queer characters in queer plays. I'm proud of this body of work. We will not be erased. #LGBTQ #Theatre
