Just ordered a Mikrotik 5009 to redo my network to support multi gig fiber. Looks like since it has a usb port I’ll be able to run “The Dude” monitoring system too. Now I get to dive back into the fun of PCC round robining between ISP’s. If anyone has any tips, would love to hear them. #homelab

Canceling my Field Notes subscription. The value just isn’t there—I can buy notebooks individually for the same price and skip the ‘extras’ (which are usually garbage). Plus, there are better-quality notebooks with better paper, like Lochby, for less money.

After 30 minutes of troubleshooting a stock checker for Lowe’s, I’ve realized that the html returned to the browser is different than the html returned by the python requests library, even with the same headers. I think there’s some JavaScript modifying the DOM on load.

Debating my bullet journal for the new year. I’ve been using pocket-sized journals more, and with the Lochby mini field journal coming out, I’m tempted to switch. I’m not consistent with A5 since I don’t carry it, but I always have my pocket journals, so they get used more. What do you think?
