Hello academic @bsky.app! I’m a PhD researcher at @eui-sps.bsky.social. I read and write on international relations, order(ing), security, intervention, peacekeeping and protection. Also following discussions on research ethics and qualitative methods.

It's here! 🥳 Very excited to finally hold "Global Governance on the Ground" in my hands. Through an in-depth look at the case of migration and asylum, the book argues that IOs not only govern global challenges through rules, standards, expertise, and numbers but also through practice in the field.

Already excited to attend #ESIL2025 in Berlin - don't forget to send in your abstract this month!

In a month, I'll speak at the @eui-schuman.bsky.social about our work-in-progress with Sarah von Billerbeck on implicit racial biases among officials in IOs - many thanks to @stephofmann.bsky.social for the kind invitation! If you're in or around Florence, please feel free to join!

YAY - It's out! - Interested in how less represented actors ( #youth & #children) try to engage with (open?) #IOs? What role #socialmedia can play here? And how ideas of "aesthetic politics" ( #Rancière) can be used to better understand Global Governance? 👇 www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....

✨ @sarabkn.bsky.social and I have a new article out: "A Voice or an Echo? Women in the UN Human Rights Expert Bodies"✨ We study the impact of biographies on the behavior of experts in IOs. Most interesting finding: female members are more active. Open Access: brill.com/view/journal...
