This year, I have been focusing on my mobility and being intentional with my strength training. Take it slow, focusing on form and being in control of the weight. I am starting to see small results after 6 weeks.

We are living in interesting times. My Dad built commercial and private planes for over 40 years, so I understand the ins and out of a plane, and I have flown all my life. For the first time, I'm anxious about flying. I suppose it is due in part to the daily reporting of flight incidents.

I never thought the next time I made this trip, it would be to say goodbye.🕊 We don't know how much time we have, so let's make the most of every day. #f**kancer

Grief is the price we pay for love." - Queen Elizabeth II Life has a way of making us feel invincible like we have all the time in the world. We plan we dream, we write down bucket lists, and we chase goals. Yet, in a single moment, everything can change.

Life makes you believe you have all the time in the world. You make plans, you dream, you build bucket lists, and you set goals. And in a fleeting moment, it all just ends. What you are left with is what could have been and memories. Tell those you love most that you love them. Make sure they know🕊

This last week of work before the holiday break is taking every part of me. I am a very organized person, and chaos is my energy drainer. A lot of complaints, but if the amount of time complaining was devoted to the outstanding task. Things would be finished. Oh well, it will be over soon.

Last week I celebrated a birthday, it was an interesting birthday as I usually try to do something big. This year, I was quite content keeping it small. The important people sent me wishes. My keys for the coming year: - move in silence - ask for help when overwhelmed - Do something for fun!

Ontario legislature at it finest, after a 19-week summer break, working for 7 weeks, they are back on a 14-week break! This means that no necessary legislation will pass.

Every once in a while, hard work and consistency payoff. My career has not been a straightforward journey. I have meanderd, doubted, and almost thrown in the towel many times. But, I hung in there, and now I am starting to achieve the rewards. Stay consistent. You will get there! #consistencyiskey

We are 30 days away until 2025. Now is the time to lock in what type of 2025 you want to have. Start putting into place plans and habits that are within your control. Move in silence. There is no need to announce your plans and the moves you are making. Stay consistent, and you will have a great 2025

I want to shout out to teachers today. I am surrounded by teachers in my life. Their work is not easy in this current climate, and it sucks. I wish more parents would work with teachers as partners instead of their enemy. Teachers don't have time for political agendas. All they want to do is teach.

Just my 2 cents. But my goal is to ignore the trolls. Give them zero attention. Block them if they annoy me. I think the worst thing we can do on this site is re-create the ad hominem/ personal attacks that occur across comments on Twitter/insta/tiktok/ etc

As I approach every birthday, I tend to get very melancholy, worrying about where I am in my life. This popped up in my Instagram feed. For anyone who is going through something similar, I hope you find these words encouraging and comforting💕

For 2025, I want to focus on myself and what I need mentally, physically, and emotionally. I tend to worry more about others, and people take advantage of it. So, for the rest of the year, I am formulating a plan to stay consistent and focus on me. I would love some ideas on how others have done it.

Now, to the important stuff. There are 51 days until #TheRookie is back. Which means it is time for another rewatch. If I watch 2 episodes a day, I will finish it. But who only was 2 episodes a day on a rewatch. Anyways, can't wait for season 7!

We live in interesting times, I commented on a TikTok post that not every needs bike lanes and that I would prefer reliable public transit and I got a video response where someone angrily responded as if my experience didn't matter. What I find interesting is that I live in part of a city that /1

We are getting to the time of the year where you may start taking stock of how your 2024 has gone. If you are doing that, please give yourself grace. The mind will tend to recall all of the negative, try to recall the positive, and let those moments lead you into 2025.

A little bit about me... - Studied political science, but chose not to work in government -Love being introduced to new music. If the beat hits my soul and I can move with it, I am adding it to my playlist. So share! -A few favourite things: chocolate, 90s RnB, The Rookie on ABC, The Sound of Music

This is nice! Very calm, very simple, very peaceful. Hopefully, this can be a place of civility, sharing, and learning. A place to feel safe and fun!
