What do yall think about the 2025 Color of the Year? Personally, I love it. It aligns with my personal design style and it’s been a color that I’ve been drawn to for years. However, I’ve seen critiques that it’s too brown and recession friendly - which, I can understand.

A few things that bug me as a designer that many people don’t know: 1. Mid-Century Modern and Mid-Century are not the same. MCM is Modern and Mid-Century is more traditional.

Poul Henningsen designed the PH5 in 1958 as a response to the varying sizes of incandescent bulbs. He wanted the lamp to be able to accommodate any size bulb. He also wanted the lamp to be capable of distributing light in varying directions.
