Yesterday’s announcement of nearly $4 million in Federal funding is vital to reducing overdose rates, enhancing community health, reducing social disorder, and promoting safety in Ottawa. I’m very grateful for their support.

Good morning Ottawa. Bonjour Ottawa.

Now more than ever, it’s important to shop local and buy Canadian. We’re working hard to protect our local economy and ensure the City's procurement practices prioritize local and Canadian products.

Good morning Ottawa. Bonjour Ottawa.

I'm committed to keeping taxes as low as possible for Ottawa residents. The city's tax increases over the past three years, including 2025, have been much lower than those in other major Canadian cities such as Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, Edmonton, and Montreal.

This morning, I joined Councillor Rawlson King to kick off Black Mental Health Week with the incredible people behind Ottawa Black Mental Health Coalition. Thank you to all those in our community who are committed to making mental health care more inclusive and accessible.

This morning, I met up with Councillor Kitts at the Chapel Hill Park and Ride. Today, the new OC Transpo route 226 started, taking riders to Blair Station on weekdays during peak times. This will help our East End residents with a convenient connection to O-Train Line 1.

Good morning Ottawa. Bonjour Ottawa.

The Special Olympics Ontario School Championships are coming to Ottawa this summer. And to support this event, Ottawa Police Chief Stubbs, along with other #TeamOttawa took the Polar Plunge!

It was great to join Dr. Brenda O’Neill, Dean of Faculty of Public and Global Affairs, Carleton University, for a fireside chat with students today.

Good morning Ottawa. Bonjour Ottawa.

Celebrating the 48th anniversary of a great local business by ordering some Gabriel Pizza tonight. Congratulations to the Hanna family!

After 24 years of telling the stories of our community, Blair Crawford is retiring from the Ottawa Citizen today. His dedication to journalism and the people of Ottawa has been remarkable. I’m proud to proclaim February 28, 2025, as Blair Crawford Day in Ottawa.

Ramadan Mubarak! As their holy month begins, Ottawa’s Muslim community will join millions around the world in prayer, reflection, and unity.

We recently passed a motion at City Council to review our procurement practices to ensure we’re buying local and buying Canadian. And we’re encouraging #TeamOttawa to do the same with our new Tariff toolkit. Check it out: ottawa.ca/en/business/...

This morning, I visited our incredible snow removal crews to thank them. After working nonstop to clear the last storm, they’re already preparing for another. Their hard work keeps our roads and sidewalks safe. Let’s do our part—give plows space, be patient, and check in on our neighbours.

Congratulations to the newly elected and re-elected Ottawa MPPs from west to east: Karen McCrimmon, George Darouze, Tyler Watt, Chandra Pasma, Catherine McKenney, John Fraser, Lucille Collard, Stephen Blais, and Stephane Sarazin.

Congratulations to Premier Doug Ford on winning a historic third consecutive majority government in today's Ontario election. Premier Ford has been a great partner to work with and he and his team have been extremely accessible and responsive in supporting Ottawa's priorities.
