We’re not alone. We’re going to make it

It would require a lot of things to change but can you imagine if the Dems became de facto one party rule like postwar Japan or the US from Jefferson to Jackson

This is the absolute high end of HSR. This is a total greenfield route built recently to extremely high standards. If you want this in the US, you need expedited environmental review and real estate takings powers to build a huge base tunnel under the Alleghenies.

I say this with love. I do marketing and business strategy for a living, and I’m very good at it. I’d fire almost every Democratic lawmaker. The only one who is better than I am is AOC. Put her in charge of everything and start from scratch.

It is almost impossible for victims of workplace discrimination to win in court because the plaintiff has to demonstrate that they were treated differently because they were a woman, a person of color, etc. Short of the boss saying it in writing or on the record, you can’t produce evidence for this.

TOMORROW: Join us for a march to protect the safer streets, cleaner air, and better transit we won together and remind President Trump whose streets these are! 🗓️Saturday, Feb 22 | 🕒 3PM | 📍 Times Square (Broadway + 47th St)

Very much like the Iraq War, somehow "I thought Elon Musk was a genius until a couple years ago" is now considered the more respectable and serious opinion than "I knew he was a fraud for a decade and was never fooled by him."

Considering all the nonsense they are purveying about hating diversity, equity, and inclusion, I think it is reasonable to conclude that they fired the right person for the job because they assumed that, being a woman, she must not have been the right person for the job.

What would happen if we spent 50 years proletarizing the most socially progressive class, waited until the median age of the workforce was at the most left-leaning cohort in the country, picked the most disproportionately unionized section of that class, and then tried to fire them all at once.

Hey @chatterton.bsky.social, does it count as good faith, graciousness, nuance, and fair play if Chris Rufo wants to slander and eradicate my entire community?

Medicaid is not for sale. NASA is not for sale. The Post Office is not for sale. America is not for sale. We have an obligation to resist kings. We outnumber them. And they can be overwhelmed.

Elevator pitch: state and regional housing bond agencies that lend to private and public affordable projects/buy up municipal bonds for housing and transit infrastructure at highly preferential rates, funded with printed money from the Fed that dials up and down countercyclically.

remember when elon musk claimed to be a free speech absolutist

It is tempting to say this, but a less dramatic framing is that pretty much everyone in history who has considered the problem of keeping a republic from devolving into tyranny has concluded that the citizenry needs to have a humanities education. Maybe we just need to … do that again.
