I have such a hard time finding motivation to run when it’s ::checks watch:: 19 degrees outside. Younger me didn’t care, older me decided that “screw it, let’s eat a quarter pounder and a shake” was a better idea. This should be my 18 mile week, but it’s super cold and snow and stuff.

I find one of the perks of vacation, in my 40s, is that I can drink coffee whenever I want and not worry about being tired in the AM. Afternoon double latte? I’m in.

Starting to worry that this high hamstring irritation might demand a few weeks off. I guess I’ll try adding an extra rest day for a while and cutting back on speed to see if it cooperates. Speed work kinda hurts.

Anyone have any gel recommendations? The only ones I find that don’t fry my belly are those Untapped maple syrup pouches, but that feels like cheating. I’ve tried a good half dozen. Can’t do running and chewing, so that’s out. #running #runsky #marathon
