For my most recent article, I visited Naselle, WA, to hear from residents about an upcoming DNR timber auction they believe will affect their watershed. I also learned that hiking through a forest is difficult while carrying photo equipment, so kudos to environmental photojournalists.

Well done coverage of some of the direct impacts of the federal attacks on science for students at the University of Washington. No jobs available. Fired from jobs. The loss of research opportunities.

Great article from UW’s student newspaper about the critical harms that research funding cuts are causing

Last month, I had the privilege of talking to Dr. Chetan Seshadri and @johngreensbluesky.bsky.social about why everything is TB. I am also so grateful for @chaitnad.bsky.social, The University Bookstore, and Green's publisher, Elyse Marshall, who praised my Culver's tote bag. Yay cheese curds!

The Stand Up for Science rally in Seattle concluded at around 2:45 p.m. today. It drew over approximately 1000 people who were researchers, healthcare workers, students, and members of the public. Article and photos to be published next week. Photo via @emorudphoto.bsky.social
