Ouch!

I wonder if he voted for Slytherin… #democracydangernoodle

@meatwatcher.bsky.social @wheatwatcher.bsky.social FAFO!

This is very much a OneHealth issue. Pigs are the amplifying host, migratory birds the natural reservoir, mosquitoes the vector. JEV has killed 10 Australians since 2022. The APVMA needs to understand its role in OneHealth, industry does! Climate change will see more of these challenges enter Oz!

The conservative movement has turned against reality on every scientific issue of our time, from gun violence to climate change to epidemiology. If campuses are ideologically homogenous, it's not because academia has ostracized conservatives. It's because conservatives have ostracized academia.

If the 2010s were marked by techno-solutionism, then the 2020s might be the decade of "natural solutionism". Both are flawed, disdain the regulatory state, and in both "expertise is treated as suspect, corrupt, or altogether illegitimate, with anecdotes and mantras replacing verifiable data"

So that $10B bailout for farmers. Is it a payout for political support? Yeah. Bold move for an industry that talks so much about hard work & independence! But it's also worse than that. This is a US food crisis in the making. www.usda.gov/about-usda/n... Let's talk about the payoff part first?

In 1862, a Union soldier found cigars wrapped in a piece of paper in a field of clover. The paper was a copy of Confederate Gen. Lee's invasion orders. The Southern sloppiness helped the Union stop Lee at Antietam. It's unknown who lost the orders in the field, or if he was related to Pete Hegseth.
