Feel much better today as I just cleared out all the bots and con artists. Farewell US military hunky men with dogs, pick up trucks and a so so white smile. Farewell young women with plastic faces and plastic breasts. Now I am reading posts of interest and with something to say.

When someone tells you they are worried about a loved one in the hospital (especially the ICU but anywhere really), DO NOT say things like, “I bet they’ll be ok because you’re there taking such good care of them!” Just say something like “that must be really scary.” Nothing in life is guaranteed.

I love my advent calendar. Now in its 25th year Opening the little windows is a surprise every time💖 Boxing Day I’ll mend and close the doors until next year What’s your family tradition?

If you’re newly disabled - you may find one of the toughest battles you’ll have is with yourself. Unlearning internalized ableism, convincing yourself it’s “ok” to rest, ask for help & rely on others… these are not easy things to do. But they are critically important for survival.
