Not a single disabled person I know would be surprised by this: the parents, families and friends of disabled people often are the very people who traumatize us, who present us as "burdens" and worse. Proximity to a disabled person means nothing.

We only know this man is in Gitmo because Noem tweeted a propaganda photo that included him and his sister saw it. He has no criminal record.
